Firstly, there are still active players from this team currently playing in the NBA (and Big3.)
Second, they're not even a top 5 Olympic basketball team.

Agreed.
The 2012 team would smoke the '08 team. People overhype '08 because of what happened in '04. It's a nice redemption story.

The overlap of prime Kobe, Wade, Lebron, Paul, and Dwight is a GOAT combo.

They let literal role players like Michael Cooper into the HOF, why are you acting surprised they'd have poor judgement with who else gets inducted.

Kobe saved Team USA from its only defeat.
Thats HOF in and of itself.

The 2012 team was much better on offense with Carmelo becoming a FIBA beast & with the addition of Durant.
They put up 115.5 PPG compared to the 2008 team that put up 106.
Nearly 10 more points.
They dominated on a level the '08 team did not.

VERY good roster, but you're correct in there being greater Olympic teams.
Also which players exactly are now in the BIG 3? :confusedshrug: The only dude I saw listed is Carlos Boozer...who truth be told, I don't remember even having impact on that Olympic squad.
