I don't know exactly how they would get it done but they should go after Anfernee Simons. Not saying he replaced Vanvleet as a leader but the stats say he can produce just as much offense or more. If they can just get it done in a way where the Celtics spend less money they wouldn't have to send back equal talent.

For those asking, the Rockets can't sign Russell Westbrook, Ben Simmons, or anyone else since they are roughly $1.2M from the first apron hard-cap. The Rockets can apply for a disabled player exception, but that doesn't change their financial restrictions.

Leaves a very promising Raptors roster for the Magic to play with Grant Hill. They nearly get Duncan too which would have meant who knows how many rings. Hill goes down early and plays a handful of games in 4 years leaving T-Mac to carry the team with zero help. To add salt in the wound the first season Hill's healthy in Orlando is the season T-Mac leaves.

Then to Houston, himself or Yao are constantly injured at the worst times every season. The first year they get out of the 1st round is the year T-Mac gets hurt and can't play in the PS.

Goes to the Knicks, isn't re-signed because they need cap space for Melo.
