I remember this was the talk of the week, back when a 60-point game was considered a once-in-a-blue-moon feat. Hell, 2013-14 was the first season in five years where a player (first Carmelo and then LeBron) scored this much, the previous time being 2008-09 with Kobe's 60 piece at MSG.

Nowadays this milestone—while still impressive—isn't nearly as newsworthy. Such games will make headlines that night and the following morning, but people move on soon enough because they know it isn't/won't be the only time someone accomplishes that in a single season.

They still player defense in the 2010's. And only few NBA players attempted more than 7 3 points.
