It obviously is, but I suppose the NBA changed the rules at some point because a lot of people online think it was clean. Anyone who has ever played basketball will tell you that lifting your pivot foot and landing on either foot is a walk.

You probably need to brush up on the rules

I must be getting old because they called that a travel at every level I played at. NBA rules, though.

They adopted FIBA interpretation and this is now considered elite footwork

I understand old people that grew up being taught that this was a travel but the times have changed and that has not been a travel for years

I don't think that's a travel.

That used to be a travel. Left was the pivot. Had he lifted the pivot and his right foot at the same time, it would have been legit. But he shifted the planted foot from the pivot to his right foot at the end of the move.

He did shuffle his pivot foot which is a travel but you weren't talking about that.

You were talking about him taking another step forward towards the basket and removing his pivot foot from the ground before jumping off of the other foot. Hasn't been a travel for a long time but he makes it look way worse than other people do because of the amount of ground he can cover. Actual best player of all time incoming.
