BREAKING: INAPPROPRIATE? Social media is having a field day after Charlie Kirk’s widow shares a very public and very intimate moment with none other than the married Vice President JD Vance while wearing tight leather pants!
Erika Kirk has already had the nation buzzing with the apparent speed with which she seems to have gotten over the death of her husband, virulent racist propagandist Charlie Kirk. But these pictures of her at the recent Turning Point USA event in Mississippi have many people on social media questioning if something untoward is going on between the two Family Values Republicans (™).
“Call me old-fashioned, but this is an extremely inappropriate embrace for a married man to have with a young woman. We are looking at full body contact here - no break at the waist even - and her hand placement is not helping,” opines @Embracing Tara on Twitter.
“Very normal, Christian behavior for a grieving widow and a man married to an Indian Hindu American who publicly said he wants her to change her religion!” points out Substack author Wajahat Ali.
“In some parts of the world, it is traditional for a widow to wear her mourning leather pants for up to five years,” jokes @EternalDago.
“Most wives would be booting their men out of bed and to the couch for this... but that's not a great option for Usha either,” snarks Rolling Stone contributor Lauren Windsor.
“If a woman hugs my husband like this she better be ready to fight,” writes @peachsweet_tea.
“He’s going to be the first Vice President to get divorced while in office!” laughs @AriDrennen.
One has to admit it is really not a good look for Erika Kirk, who has made it clear she is intent on riding her dead husband’s name and reputation into a right-wing grifter career of her own.
Her comments about him also raised some eyebrows. “No one will ever replace my husband. No. But I do see some similarities of my husband in J.D. and Vice President J.D. Vance.
I do. And that's why I'm so blessed to be able to introduce him tonight because he understands the fight that we're up against. And he can articulate that in a way that transcends. He's an amazing man,” said Erika.
While this may seem very puerile and speculative, the sad fact remains that if the situation were reversed and a Democratic widow were wearing these pants and embracing other men, the right wing would be hysterically hurling misogynistic slurs and spinning wild conspiracies.
