There are several fast moving fires raging all over southern california right now. I hope that our fellow friends here are safe and not being impacted by the fires. My prayers are with the families that are being impacted by the fires.

Stay safe!

Sorry to hear about that. I hope everything turns out fine.

We get a lot of forest fires in Oregon during the summer. I know what you're going through. I seriously hope peoples homes are not in harms way.

People who drive in LA are morons. On another note dowtown LA looked pretty awesome today. No smog at all it was really weird. But back to the driving rant. I was driving to hollywood tonight and everything was cool traffic is flowing im going 80. and all of a sudden the freeway curved and i see the smoke from the fires in the distance. Everyone apparently stopped and stared off in the distance because it was stop and go for like my last 5 miles of driving. Damn you LA drivers!!!!!!!!!

Earlier at school, the sky turned orange as ash or whatever covered the sky. This shit started just a couple miles from where I live and hope it doesn't get here.

I never understood why local channels feel the need to interrupt programming to show giant flames of fire, for hours straight. I understand police pursuits have entertainment value... but fires? :confusedshrug:

This smoky smell in the air reminds me of the 2007 fires. Felt like I smelled that shit for 3 months straight.

fire happens every year due to the high winds and dried up wild plants that get toasted during the never ending socal sun in spring. it would be weird to have a year where there WERENT any wildfires.

This thing was like 2-3 miles from my work, thankfully it spread the opposite way but we were kinda hoping we would get to leave early lol. I could see the flames on the way there. Scary shit.

Ones in Carlsbad and now Grenada Hills. Hot, dry and a bit windy out again.

This seems to happen every year. Why anyone would willingly live in such a place is beyond me.

Still better than "Tornado Alley" I suppose.

and another one today at the long beach/seal beach border

its been pushing 100+ degrees at the coast the last few days. makes paying these inflated prices to live here such a joy.
