The thing about Stockton and his shorts isn't that he wore the shortest shorts, its that once the style went long, he continued wearing short shorts.

I still like short shorts... not daisy dukes or anything... but shorts today are like bermuda shorts... long and baggy, hardly short... they should be called mids or ankle's or something... there's nothing wrong with showing the upper leg, one of the most muscular parts of the body, and if you're gonna show off biceps, might as well show off the leg muscles.

put today's clothes on some 80s players. their movements and their bodies woul look normal on video to you.

it used to be cool to wear long shorts, but now when they are too long, they really look stupid. like some 5'4" kid wearing XXXL shorts that hang like 7 inches below their knees. they might as well wear sweat pants and just roll them up.

Let this old head, a proud baby boomer, 57 years young inform all of you millinials that Stockton shorts were not any shorter than any of the pre-80s shorts. Someone accurately stated that his shorts looked shorter than short because the others were longer. Hey when I play at the playground, I still wear short shorts and even on ocassion a traditional tank top, many of the yungins that whup me on the court call me the B-Ball pops

One time I broke out my authentic Happy Hairston tank top, one he wore his last season with the Lakers and wore my retro Lakers short shorts with my high top rubber soled Van's canvas sneeks. I went to see Happy in the hospital a few weeks before he passed, that's how I got one of his tank tops.

Has anyone ever realized that "Shorts" is derived from "Short". Hence confortable ware for sports or outdoor activities. Back in the 80s clothes were disgned and fitted accoring to ones height and size. Then came all that stupid Thug Raper **** in the 90s and the NBA usted those Baggy Pants Style as a Marketing Tool

Downtown Freddy the Laker killer, that you know what beat the Lakers more times at home and the Fabulous Forum than any other player ever did. he made more clutch shots from Downtown and the corners, sheeeeeeeeeeeet, killed us every freekin' time, I despised him but gots to admit he was a helluva shooter, was shooting three's before there were three's in the NBA, I wanted him to defect to the ABA

It looks like it was a game against the Bullets based on the uni I see in the background-can't make out the player tho, maybe I'll cut n paste into my pictures and view with the enlarger feature

Great card, thanx for sharing

Okay, there might be such a thing as shorts that are too short, but there are definitely also shorts that are way too big. I remember that I once saw a pic of TJ Ford wearing ridiculously oversized shorts in a SLAM mag, so I went through my magazines quickly, and I found it, and scanned it:

IMO, that looks just as stupid as any short shorts from the 70s and 80s you can find.
Ha, it looks like he forgot his shorts and the only person he could borrow a pair off of was Gadz or Bogut.

Yeah, I agree with this. But at the same time, I like the long shorts a lot more. Not the VERY long ones, but the ones down to the knees. The short shorts are just... too short. They don't look good.

I'm going to use 2 Bucks as an example here. Get it - 2 Bucks? But here, these are good:

I dont see nothing wrong with them shorts :confusedshrug: IMO If you feel comfortable in Short Shorts, long Baggy Shorts, or regular sized shorts it shouldn't matter and shouldn't make people change their opinions on players saying, " oh there just thug wannabes" It's sterotypes like this that makes this world a F'd up place.

I've noticed that relative to all the other modern player's shorts, Ron Artest seems to wear his pretty short.

I know they aren't really short, but compared to most of today's players shorts they are.
