I think one of the gayest trends going around is the faux hawk and the popped collar. Particularly the Lacoste ones. Talk about overkill. I work downtown and that's all I see. Just last week I saw a group of five guys walking down the streets, all five had a polo, two were pink, all collars popped and all sporting the faux hawk. I was thinkin, what dorks, did they plan this, or is this standard fshion procedure for them.I decided to stand outside and count how many people had that exact same get-up. In one hour I counted 62 guys. It was a busy saturday.
I thought this trend was over a year ago? Guys these days have no sense of originality.
Others on the list include baseball hats with the stickers still on them, chicks with those little dogs (don't they realize that this is a long term committment and not a fashion peice?), also shades with really big lenses.

Dont knock them because they wanna dress nice and have a good appearence. I have a feeling that racism is a part of this sadly.

Worst fashion trends IMO:
- White tees (originality is dead)
- Those big sunglasses that make people look like flies
- Uggs (even though those are dying down)
- Preppy boys tryin to pull off the pink/popped collar look

I have a huge problem with girls and their little purse dogs. If your buying a pet as a fashion statement and not as a companion, I think that's huge cruelty towards animals. What if the trend dies? Do you give the dog up just when it got attached? Do these women know that dogs live up to 15 years? Men, I urge you, if your girl has got one for the intent of lookin like Ms. Paris, do not walk there dog for them or do any of the responsiblities of dog care five years down the road when having a purse dog is not cool anymore. Let them live up to thier committmnet.

I actually had the faux hawk or how I like to call it "the baby mohawk" for a little bit, but my hair is too long now.
Some fashion trends that I think are horrible:
-Sunglasses on the top of your head
-Sandles with jeans
-the whole "hey look I just came from the beach look"
-oversized jerseys
-excess of pink (hey a pink polo is alright, but a pink hat and shoes is gay including the polo is gay)
-how come some white people wear the oldest sneakers they can find. They're usually 30 years old and wearing 5 year old "Avia" sneakers with some old looking shirt.
-The whole emo look. Tight shirt, tight pants, weird shoes, the metal squares belt, and the keychain.
-I hate the whole huge sunglusses look for girls. I just can't wait until next year when I get to make fun of all them when the fad dies down.

Thats why you are a nerd.
I can't stand anyone with spiked hair, jell in hair , ae or a&f, people that wear sandles every day, bball shorts , popped collars, pink shirts, gothic shlt, painted nails. I myself like to wear polo shirts every other day or so and jeans, either that or a t-shirt and maybe a hoody on top. Nothing gangsta though for me. So basically I hate anyone with these fashion styles I listed above that i don't like. i won't socialize with you at all if I see any of that shlt going on. :DWhat's wrong with sandles accompanied with jeans? It's a semi visual oxymoron but I personally think it's fine. I also happen to own one of the aforementioned "shades that make you look like flies"... but they look good on me and my girlfriend agrees so.... :D
I usually don't have a problem with people's fashion since I live in Vancouver and see a huge diversified pool of it. However, I am Chinese and I MUST say I hate the Hongers that wear the Nike caps over their long hair accompanied with their Stussy tees and ****ing ugly ass honger jeans and finished with their Nike pumps or whatever.
Everytime I see one of those Chinese doods I go :wtf:

White Tee's were big before that song came out (think someone mentioned them earlier). I remember going to New Orleans a few times pre-Katrina, and seeing ALOT of young black people wearing all-white tees or all-black tees. I'd say maybe 3/4's of all the young black dudes I saw would wear them (granted I never ventured too far from Bourbon street area). I thought it was pretty badass. Kind of had a look of solidarity I guess... and this was way before that song came out, so it was new to me. Its probably become more of a trend since then, I dont know.
As far as that other crap (huge sunglasses, etc), I've come to the conclusion that tacky is IN.

the worst trend of the last ten years bar none was trucker hats.
wrist bands in public are gay. I wanna slap people who wear them (I can only excuse 'livestrong' yellow bands because hating supporting cancer is just wrong. Although I think when people look back in 30 years everyone will say "what is up with those falkin yellow elastics y'all used to wear?").

To most people that yellow wristband is just a fashion statement or they just wear it to be cool.
But for people who truly know what it means, for people who know someone who is dying of cancer, it means a hell of a lot.

I used to have a nice collection of dark pleated stain defender Dockers pants that I wore all the time. Really comfortable and casual and fit with most anything I'd wear. Unfortunately, having to wash them every f'n day for work wore them out. But I did get a good 4 years out of them, and 1 "work year". I will say this though: anything Dockers makes outside of underwear or pants is completely and entirely gay. The only Dockers pants I have now are these lightish gray-green ones that were on clearance. Screw it, I'm not gonna pay more than $35 for a pair of nice pants. And even then I gotta be pretty impressed by them.
Shirts? Mostly dark. Most of my shirts are black. A few lighter colors thrown in there. A few metal shirts from concerts I went to (hey, gotta support your favorite bands.) I live in SW Washington and it's rainy a lot so I always buy dark clothes and shoes. A black pair of Vans is what I'm sporting at the moment. Got some memory foam Dr. Scholls' inserts for people that have to stand on hard surfaces all day. Yeah, I know, whatever.. I've got a few anime t-shirts too, from back in high school. Black, of course. Let's not be ridiculous.
As for people I can't stand.. I used to see this one girl all the time that looked like such a Hollywood drama queen. Big glasses, always staring straight ahead, this whole "depressed millionaire socialite" look. It was weird as hell. I just wanted to smack her and say, "YOU LIVE IN A TOWN OF 10,000 PEOPLE AND IT RAINS HERE EVERY DAY. YOU'RE NOT HOLLYWOOD."
I occasionally will leave my collar popped at work (I work in a produce department and I have to wear an apron.. when I go on break/lunch I take it off and my collar stays up.) Usually I forget about it and don't care enough to fix it. It works, though. I usually just end up looking like some dude that rolled out of bed or something. It lets the customers know, "Don't f'n bother me right now. I'm on break." A couple of other dudes started doing it for awhile, too. I'm like, a fashion entrepeneur or some ****.)
If you spend more than 5 minutes getting yourself ready in the morning.. you need to re-evaluate your status as a man. I mean damn, I could probably do it in 5 minutes counting brushing my teeth and shaving.

Id cop that belt in a second, crispy white Jordans with that, and It be a wrap.
A trend around here right now is Copping Evisu Jeans, bape Jeans, BBC items of clothing and what not. I honestly would support this trend but where I live u cant even tell whats real, so much bootlegged $hit. LIke in the states, RMC Jeans I heard cost like 900$, but around here they are choppin em for like 250$...seems way too suspect to I stay off the High End type gear and Jeans(RMC-Bape-Evisu-BBC).
Other than that, I usually just rock a fitted, matching shirt, jeans to match and obviously the Kicks(retro nikes/jordans/timbs) gotta match as well. I tend to make everything match, from my sunglasses, jewelry to belt to socks to underwear. I just like being Fly.
Ive been gettin called a "Metro" by my girl recently...

Pink polos are kind of 2004 and out of fashion.
But why bother with this type of very irrelevant, meaningless crap? Let people dress the way the do.

I usually rock fitteds with matching air forces, and my closet is filled with Rocawear, Sean John, Akademiks, Southpole, Lacoste, and Pro Clubs. When im with my boys I rock my tees but when im out with a girl im usually in a polo or dress shirt.

- People who wear sweat bands with their outfits.
- Hats with tags on them.
- T-shirts so big they look like dresses. (Here is looking at you, the ghetto!!)
- Clothes that make you look like the last scene in the movie "BIG". You don't have to wear tight clothes, but don't drown yourself in your outfits.
- Basketball shorts that go way longer then the bottom of the knee cap.
- Double polos, with both collars popped.
- Guys with their tight, nut hugging, girl pants on.
- Basketball sneakers as fashion. If you aren't out of High School, it is acceptable. If out of college, on grown man status, hooping shoes as fashion is a tacky.
- Too much pink.
- Headbands.
I'll be back with more.

what about those shirts that dudes wear (usually at local county fairs) with the arrows that point to "the man" and "the legend"
As for me, white/gray t-shirts and khaki shorts and new balances. I could give a **** less about fashion. There are more important things in life than clothes. I want to be noticed for who I am, not what I wear

I bumped it from a year ago, but yes from my OP. I can't belive some of these trends still run after two years. Especially the faux hawk. I think it can be classified as a traditonal hairstyle now like being bald.

Button-downz, long-sleeve accompanied with Celts Jersey, or sweaterz in winter.
AF1 Sneakerz, Black Reebok Classics, Huarachez when balling w/e. Comfort above style at this point and time. I'll probably drop a grand when I hit college (though ironically fashion matters least there :oldlol) but yeah I agree with the OP esp. about Ugz! UGH.

Haha you made me laugh out loud at work off that one. My girl has 2 little purse dogs. 2.

Apparently ISH's #1 Goon is lame for carrying a "murse". I have a man bag to carry my laptop, important papers, my tone, "dirty money, and of course my "work". It is looks cool to carry a dufflebag full of dirty money, but that makes you look obvious to the "hoe"lice ya dig.

That's different. What you probably have is called a messenger bag, not a murse. There's a difference.
