To be 100% honest, I don't know hardly any of those songs.

I'm a white kid from nowhere in illinois so I listen to rock =[

To be 100% honest, I don't know hardly any of those songs.

I'm a white kid from nowhere in illinois so I listen to rock =[ I'm a white kid from...kinda somewhere in Illinois, and I've listened to hip hop my entire life.

But I don't know why warm up music needs to be so god-awful. I keep hearing people tell me how good Lil' Wayne is, and if that's what passes for good mainstream hip-hop these days, Billy Corgan was right when he said, "Thank god rap is finally dead. About f-cking time." (And Corgan once said the most important thing that happened in 90's music was the emergence of hip-hop in the mainstream.)

Start out with something kind of light-humored, and great for a rush of energy.

Space Jam intro lol, Mulan - I'll Make a Man Out of You; Ozzy - Crazy Train; Cellular soundtrack - Sinnerman are ideal choices.

Now you want to get a little more serious and gradually enhance the volume;
Pick any non-love classic rock song, like Kashmere or One or Heat of the Moment- Asia... anything of that sort. Can't go wrong with a solid amplified electric guitar/drum beat combo. Smashing Pumpkins are also great of course.

In the midst of the energy you want something loud, profane, and testosterone producing FAST: 300 soundtrack - To Victory; Carl Orff - O Fortuna; Nas/Diddy - Hate Me Now; Victory 2004; Coolio - Gangsta's Paradise; Till I Collapse - Em/Nate

And then you end it with something cool, relaxed and refreshing: Bobby McKnight or any R/B, Stairway to Heaven, or Classical are ideal.

You're relaxed, yet aware.
You're prepared, yet nervous.
Now expect to be running up and down the cort and to welcome that great feeling of lactic acid flowing through your quads, and the burning sensation in your lungs.
Fortunately, if you're determined, skilled, tough, and have fallen into a nice trance courtesy of the song.. I'm expecting big stats.
