This topic has appeared in the main forum before, and people discussed the NBA issues that would get beaten to death on ISH if indeed ISH was around back in the "stone age." My question is, what topics in society/other sports/politics, etc would we be discussing on an ISH circa 5/10/20 years ago? I have a few ideas:


"George Bush elected as president" (1988)

"Bill Clinton/Monica Lewinsky" (1998)

"Martha Stewart scandal" (2002)

"Thought on super mario brothers?" (1988)

"what's gonna happen on y2k?" (2000--technically not 5/10/20 years ago, but a very big event)

"Can Mark McGwire break the all time single season HR record?" (1998)

Add your to the list, or break down past news events and maybe attempt to have a rational discussion about what you were thinking when these things were going on.

twenty years ago, i would have been kibitzing how good the sonics were to reach the west conf finals against the lakers--- at under .500

how exciting it was to watch dale ellis, xavier mcdaniel and tom chambers averaging over 23 ppg each

how magic just dominates the game at all sorts of levels
