it's no doubt that Isiah is better than Stockton, but, compare to Oscar, :lol

Isiah > Big O on all counts, sorry.

By no means, actually. At best you may argue he was a purer PG, he had the upper hand in things where a small man is supposed to (quickness, speed, dribbling) and that he had a slightly more developed killer instinct, although O is underrated in this field-with the game on the line, the ball was always in his hands. All other fields-scoring, passing, rebounding, dominating games frequently, contributions to basketball, go to Oscar.

I've got you all beat. Doug Overton is the best point guard i've ever seen. Of course, he was playing in Australia at the time, but god damnit, he was awesome.

Stockton and it's honestly not even close. OMGZ Isiah won more championshipz lmao. Teams win championships. Stockton probably would have had a championship against the GOAT (Jordan) if Malone didn't **** it up. Stockton is the GOAT of point guards.

If there wasn't Isiah obstacled before MJ, at least Piston stopped Chicago for three times to enter the champion game, Utah, never succeed.

I think a fair argument can easily be made for either player, but if I'm building a team there is no doubt, I go with Stockton

Isiah will help big with scoring and is a better team leader tho.

Give me Isiah Thomas. Better playoffs and finals performer than Stockton. Thomas is 3-1 vs Team Jordan while Stockton is 0-2.

Thomas was a better scorer and Stockton was a better passer/floor general. Both were all time greats, it's a tough choice to make. If i'm building a from nothing, i would pick Thomas, if i already have scorers then i would choose Stockton.

This :applause:

Isiah, he beat Magic, Bird, and Jordan in the same playoffs

Isiah all day.

To me, he is the most underrated great ever. Only because he beat 3 of the most beloved players ever and didn't kiss their ass along with the fact that he didn't play for stats is he way underrated.

He was a straight killer. About as much as anyone, including MJ.

Isiah Thomas vs John Stockton who was better?

By the time they were choosing a PG for the Dream Team, Stockton was probably a bit better. 1984? No question it was Zeke. If he wasn't such an @$$ it would've been great for basketball had he been on the team. That being said, the comments he and Rodman made about Bird a few years earlier and walking off the court at the end of the ECF showed everyone his true colors. I can't stand Isiah Thomas, I'm glad he wasn't chosen.

Damn right! A pass first PG who can ALSO dominate scoring is a rare thing in league history. Zeke is one of the those rare guys like Big O and Magic on that type of shit. So ALL DAY u take Zeke. Stock was as good of a floor general as anybody. He combined passing and defense better than most PG's. BUT the fact Isiah was an all time great floor general AND can dominate scoring gives him the edge. LET ALONE Zeke was doing that at 6'1! Those Jazz teams needed some more scoring punch to win a ring. A PG like Zeke would have given them that scoring punch IN ADDITION to the great floor generalship! Not saying they would have won a ring. BUT I think Zeke gives them a better shot than Stock.

Isiah. Career wise they are close due to Stockton's longevity but Zeke in his prime simply was a more dominant player.

Yep! GOAT wise, it's closer between the two. When it comes to longevity being an All Star caliber PG, Stock doesn't take a backseat to anybody. But prime for prime, Zeke was the better player.

Isiah took over games in ways Stockton didn’t. Stockton was the better defender and more fundamentally sound, but Zeke could also drop 35-40 points on you. Stockton’s offensive game was very efficient but never dominant.
