How great is movie? Just saw it again last night and I must say it never gets old. Where did this movie rank in terms of all time for you if at all?

You know the part where in the beach Data says "The octopus was really scary". Although it didn't make the cut, I heard it was on the DVD release. Check it out. There was some talk about a possible Sequel to this movie but the possibility of it happening is low.

A DEFINITIVE CLASSIC HANDS DOWN...

Ironically enough, the Goonies is the only legitimate DVD that I own while the rest are straight dubbed, copied and burned...

Data may quite possibly be the coolest little Asian the land of earth has ever seen...

"50 Dolla Bill Guys... 50 Dolla Billl"

"There booty traps"...

"You mean boobie traps"

"Booty traps...Thats what I said"

And how could one forget....

HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEY

YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOU

GUYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYS

Legendary man...

The favorite part of the movie for me was Corey Feldman talking spanish to the maid and telling her things to scare her.

Sean Astin is a pro.

I liked it when tbs used to rerun these kinds of movies all the time before they came a sitcom wannabe channel.

Somehow I had never heard of or seen this movie until winter break my ex-gf showed it to me... I'm 20 years old. I saw every childhood classic, but this apparently.

It's kinda crazy that Josh Brolin was the the big brother in that movie and he was the main character (well, one of them) in No Country for Old Men.

Loved that movie. Data was the best, He is also the character in Indiana Jones Temple of doom. To bad they don't make these kinds of movies anymore. If you guys like that you guys should checkt out some of my childhood favorites.

Damn, don't feel so bad, I'm 19, and the first time I saw this movie was late the other night, probably the same showing that the OP caught. I've seen several parts of it before, but had never caught it at the beginning, so I never watched it all the way through just because I didn't want to ruin the ending. So I saw it the other night, and this is obviously an all-time classic, one of my favorites. My favorite part was when the Fratellis had Chunk's hand in the blender and he was confessing to everything he did as a child, classic. :oldlol:

I watched the The Goonies 'R' Good Enough video last night.

One of my all-time favorite movies. Highly nostalgic movie that brings me back to my childhood. I'm glad they took the octopus scene out.

the goonies was a solid 80's-type movie, but what i really liked playing was the goonies videogame by datamost (not that NES piece of crap). it could be played solo, but was better (and more fluid) played by two people, directing two of the kids at a time to solve the tricky puzzles of the eight different rooms.

in fact, just discovered right now that someone made a sweet remake of it in honor of the film's 25th anniversary:

of course, you can also play the original via emulator on any modern PC.

One of the best and most definitive 80s movies. Beautiful production design, fun, somewhat relatable character archetypes, a "kids" movie that isn't just corn and formula. Every 30 year old will list it in their favorite movies list. They don't make em like they used to. Part of it is the rating system is so ridiculous these days. I'm amazed at some of the stuff in PG movies in the 80s. I thought "Super 8" had some fun Goonies-esque qualities about it but that's a stretch. People shit on Corey Feldman but "mouth" and his character in Stand By Me are classics. It's our time down here you guys, don't you see?

i"wolfman got balls".

wasn't it "nards"?

goonies is a classic. one eyed willy LOL.

can't believe I never thought about "one eyed willy" as a pen1s name before.
