alot of the tats people are posting in this thread are actually very well done, i was trying to post the ones that look like they weren't even done by a professional. i don't judge how good or bad a tattoo is by what it depicts, i judge it based on how good the art work is, because getting a tat is a personal thing so you can't really judge the subject matter unless it is just completely outlandish.

This is a tattoo that I think most people would regret as they get older. It's hard picturing NBA players when they're old, covered in tattoos. That'll be an odd sight.

1) I was an apprentice tattooist for a bit (long story), and I can tell you that Duncans tat is the most generic one you will see. Go into any tattoo store and you will see a flash on the wall with that same clown and a couple others like it. He must have just picked it off the wall because almost EVERY store will have it.

2) I love Sheeds "Egyption Sun God" tat.

3) Lebron must have the hairiest backin the L.

Sheed's tat is pretty nice. Kobe's is well done and the crown with butterflies looks nice, I just don't like the stuff below it. For some reason I think Duncan's tat is cool.

I also hate the "I got a tattoo because it means something to me", it sounds so cliche. Sure getting a tat to remember a loved one is fine, but to get a sign to show your star symbol, or whatever, is just plain ghey. I'd much rather get a tat after having too much drink and which I'd probably regret later in life than having my star symbol stamped on my ass.
