Sucks for Celtics fans!!!!!

:(

Boston Celtics All-Star Kevin Garnett is out indefinitely with an injured right quadriceps.

Vice president of basketball operations Danny Ainge said Monday night that the injury has bothered the MVP candidate for months, and that Garnett and his agent decided it was time to shut it down and seek a second opinion before going forward.

Ainge said Garnett will visit doctors in the next day or two and will miss at least seven of the team's nine remaining games. They will wait to see what the doctors say before Garnett decides if he will return at all this season.

"After talking with Ainge and our medical staff, I realized that it's in my best interest to put my body first," Garnett said in a statement issued by the team. "I need to take this matter more seriously than I have been. I want to make sure that I correct this for the future, so that it is not an ongoing problem."

This is the kind of injury that can linger for 3 months even if he rest and rehabilitates. That sucks for Celtic fans. He probably wont be 100% for the rest of the year. This will make the Celtics come down to the rest of the pack.

This is good news as a Knicks fan but this sucks as a basketball fan.

how is this good news for a Knicks fan?

Now they may beat the Celtics (I am assuming they play once more), Isiah may get enough juice to keep his job and the Knicks will get crappier odds in the lottery.

Bad for the Knicks too I tells ya!

It won't matter much if he misses the rest of the regular season, or even part of the first round, I just hope he will be back by the time it really counts, would be a damn shame to see him and the Celtics go out like this after the season they've had.

You think a KG less Celtics would give the Knicks a chance to win? You give us too much credit.

Besides anything that can bring Celtic's fans down to reality is good as a Knick fan.

Like I said even if he comes back for the playoffs he wont be the same. His speed and agility wont be there. I think this gives the East a better chance at beating them...

I came into the day taking everything with a grain of salt...

I called my mother this morning to tell her the Hillary Clinton had dropped out of the presidential race and that Obama was the presumptive nominee... The woman must have been all over the place looking for the remote to turn on the television and "experience the historic occasion."
