Is Gobb the greatest message board personality you've ever encountered?

Browsing through ISH, this crossed my mind..

Someone like Gobb is one in a billion. I cant put my finger on it. This dude just owns the ISH message boards basically. He's had his run ins with the streets (the gobbitawl scandal and a few others as well) but he's still able to maintain his status as ISH Godfather.

Ive only posted at a few other messageboards in my time, but never have I encountered someone like Gobb. Its crazy. Even posters that have like 10 post count come in and already know about Gobb.

As for future Godfathers.. maybe if Jeffersonmoney had a team and posted in the NBA forums.. give him 5 years and he could get Gobb status as well. Geewiz has a shot, but I would consider him more the Bill Gates of ISH then the Godfather of ISH.

I really believe, that as hated as the following two are; their sheer perseverance, and strict adherence to their personalitiez deserve AT LEAST an honorable mention in the all time greats.

I find GOBBs opinions to be very worthy because he is older than most of the kids here and he knows his sh!t. Besides the stupid trolling he sometimes gets himself into, he's a good poster. I'm not gonna lie, I used to think he was a loser when I first joined because he had so many posts and he always used to get into trolling fights, but now my opinion has changed.

What seperates GOBB from a lot of posters on this site is his ability to talk about a variety of subjects. He doesn't stick to the main forum, and he doesn't have an acute knowledge on one very specific topic, and ONLY that topic. There are a lot of people on here like that, who are only here to discuss one thing, and one thing only.

His insults are funny to read, but sometimes, I think he gets wrapped up in that and it makes people step back and think that that's what he's all about. I don't get the sense that he does it with any sort of REAL malice/hatred towards anyone, but I think some people think of GOBB as that "guy who insults people" rather than the guy who knows a lot about a lot of topics.

GOBB does contribute to topics. Sometimes his posts are fun to read and intelligent, but other times I find the majority of people on here overreact and praise all his posts as if he were actually the God of Basketball. Browsing through ISH, this crossed my mind..

Someone like Gobb is one in a billion. I cant put my finger on it. This dude just owns the ISH message boards basically. He's had his run ins with the streets (the gobbitawl scandal and a few others as well) but he's still able to maintain his status as ISH Godfather.

Ive only posted at a few other messageboards in my time, but never have I encountered someone like Gobb. Its crazy. Even posters that have like 10 post count come in and already know about Gobb.

As for future Godfathers.. maybe if Jeffersonmoney had a team and posted in the NBA forums.. give him 5 years and he could get Gobb status as well. Geewiz has a shot, but I would consider him more the Bill Gates of ISH then the Godfather of ISH.

pretty sure i've said it before but working for the post office is probably a great gig if you've been there for a long time already. its a government job so you know the benefits are great but that doesn't mean i can't clown him for it. that goes for most things i clown people for, and every job has different aspects to make fun of...if not finding aspects to jones on.
