I am not 100 percent sure but wasn't there a team that had Shaun Livingston, JR Smith, and Glen Davis among others?

All your games will be taped by us an you have the option of asking us to make a highlight tape to put on your profile, which will be located on our site. (www.iapsports.com) All games will be put on our IAP sports TV web-site so you can build your own fan base an grab the attention you deserve.

You'll already be getting noticed from the coaches that are coaching you or coaching against you, or even the coaches that are just gonna be there to watch you play.

There will be 2 Canadian based live television programs there in Global TV(The Score), and Rogers which will be there for sure.

In regards to the material things, you will be getting 2 uniforms or possible reverse able uniforms. You will be given a number that will label you an direct coaches to the player they want to see.

Your guaranteed 6 games in your division and than playoffs. Its a 32 team playoff which means 16 games on each playoff bracket. Its one game knock-out so make sure you come hard.

This will all be held at the Hoop Dome, the all-star game, three point and dunk contest will be at York and or Ryerson University..... and the championship game will be at the ACC. ( Yes the home of the raptors )

The team with Perkins, Powe, and James is probably the best ever. It should be noted that the current rules wouldn't allow this team to exist as Perkins and James both lived more than 100 miles from the team's home town of Oakland.

Its kind of like Oak Hill being the best high school basketball program in the country. Sure they are, but how many kids actually grew up anywhere close to Oak Hill, and how many would have even thought about going there if they weren't playing ball?

FWIW, in high school hoops, I would have taken Indianapolis Pike over LBJ's HS hoops team from the same year, and I'd probably rate Lawrence North w/ Conley and Oden and a couple of other DI players as much better than either.

That was a legit national champ.

Romeo was a player. I liked his game whenever I watched SVSM. He seemed athletic, moved well and had good hands. Wonder where he is now.

I definitely agree that SVSM was a legit contender for the mythical national title that year. I just think they got an extra boost from 2-3 other contenders based upon the James publicity. National #2 Pike was a really well-balanced team with a lot of DI talent, but no superstar. They flew under the radar all year, going undefeated in the largest class in Indiana while never being challenged in the state tourney. Lawrence North lost to them by 8 while being down much bigger w/ 2 minutes left. No one else came within 13. Top 8 players (all Jrs/Srs):

Robert Vaden (all-Big Ten at Indiana, now at UAB, probable 09 NBA draftee)
Courtney Lee (W. Kentucky 20 ppg scorer, probable 08 NBA draftee)
Justin Cage (key Xavier starter, fringe NBA player/D League/Euro)
Parnell Smith (starter at U of Buffalo)
David Barlow (starter at IUPUI)
Mike McCoy (Murray State)
Desmond Gadis (LOI @ Purdue before running into some trouble)
Darren Yates (Ball State - later dismissed from BSU for conduct)

I forgot about that team. Maybe it's because I erased everything I knew about Indianapolis basketball from my head because of Eric Gordon.

I still haven't seen a frontline that was better than Howard, Smith, Morris. Size, speed, athleticism. And Critt was the freaking 6th man. Just sick.
