i'm sorry. what i meant to say was "epic throw in". it wasn't a dunk, that's all i know. :)

(yes i'm aware that according to the dictionary definition of a dunk that it is infact a dunk, but a contest dunk where the hand never contacts the rim = lame, imo.)

So if Dwight Howard jumped 20 feet in the air at the free throw line and did not move towards the basket at all, and threw it downward at 50mph, what would you call that? A jumpshot?

Why do you think it was a layup? Because he was somewhat close to the rim? That's absurd.

A layup is defined by its action... not by player location on the court. Get real.
