I didn't realize this until last night during Game 7 of New Orleans Vs. San Antonio.....

Tyson Chandler has the EXACT same tattoo as Allen Iverson.

Proof:

I think I'm a few years late with this one, oh well...

Never noticed. But then I guess there's some guys out there who got the same tattoos as me, so well.
Perhaps there's some deeper meaning behind that tattoo? Can't imagine Chandler just ripping it off AI.

I guess they both just picked it off the wall instead of getting original work done, but I had noticed they both had it in the past.

"Only the strong survive" is an incredibly popular phrase. And I know Chandler's pretty religious, so that explains his cross. AI probably just picked his off the wall.

Marquis Daniels's "only the strong survive" tattoo is the best.

Nothing major. Just another random empty phrase that sounds like it means something to a jock. I know more than one guy has 'Only God Can Judge Me' scribbled somewhere on their body too.

it's such a commonly used phrase. do some of you ever get out of the house???

but according to the original poster, if i go to burger king and order a whopper and chicken tenders, and some guy after me orders the same, then he must be jocking me.

No, I see where the OP is coming from. It's exactly the same tatt, even down to the ropes or whatever round the stick cross.

Maybe Iverson's jocking Chandler? Maybe they got em at the same place?

the detail and fonts are exactly the same, so for your analogy to be appropriate, you'd have to order a double whopper minus tomato with extra cheese and skinless chicken tenders... and the next guy would have to do the same.

they walk into a tattoo parlour and both point to the same one on the wall...hardly a drama.

I am sure the first guy to get a dagger on his foreman, or 'mom' on his bicep, or a bulldog has a right to be more p*ssed.

OTSS is a bunch of played out crap IMO, it held weight the first time I watched 'Dazed and Confused' but now whatever. Hip Hop culture, like any sub culture is all about imitation anyways.

The conforming non-conformists. No different than emos or punks or goth or anything...just a bunch of people who dress, talk and act the same way and call themselves 'non-conformists'
STFU sheep.

That being said, I think Tyson and AI are cool, and this was not meant to diss them, just a cheap shot a sub cultures.

1. A hamburger and chicken tenders are FOOD. Everyone eats food and a lot of people in America eat the same food. Just like most people brush their teeth, drive cars, life in homes, etc. This is completely different from a tattoo. Not as many people have tattoos.

2. It is the EXACT same tattoo, down to the font, art, positioning, even the shading on the wood, everything, it's literally the same (the wire sticking out of the dagger is the same). It isn't some common tattoo like a nautical star or flames or some word or two on it, it's the exact same tat.

Maybe Iverson's jocking Chandler? Maybe they got em at the same place?

Iverson is almost 33 years old, Tyson is like 25. AI has definitely had his for a longer time.

The irony? The bible condemns tattoos.

You guys do realize thats a reference to Kurt Cobain?

I'm surprised I'm the only one who noticed this immediately upon seeing it.

Could be, blonde, shotgun, toe on the trigger. I remember an interview in a magazine or something like that and he says he got it when he was 15, which woulda been 96, Cobain offed himself in 94 (I think? Know it wasn't later than 95). Quis hasn't ever struck me as a Nirvana fan but ya never know.

Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the LORD.
Leviticus 19:28

Of course, if your biggest blasphemy is a tattoo, you're doing a lot better than many.

AI had his way back when he first got in the league, i doubt they got it the same place since they come from different sides of the country. my guess is chandler was a ai fan(he was just a kid), he saw the tat and liked it

It's an image from the Mobb Deep CD fold-out, Mobb Deep: The Infamous.

So, technically, they are both jocking Mobb Deep.

I made this up, but it's probably something like that.
