I've said quite a few times that Chuck is probably a legit 6'6" and he just claims to be closer to 6'4" to make his accomplishments at the power forward position seem more impressive.

Here is an example of him using his height as a reason why he's great.

When did Kwame Brown and Gilbert Arenas go to jail?

Kwame got charged with disorderly conduct in October of 07. He was with his cousin, his cousin got arrested for a DUI and apparently Kwame "became disruptive and tried to interfere with the officers' investigation."

Arenas got charged with disobeying police in May of 06. Former teammate Awvee Storey (the POS who cracked some foreign kid's skull in the NBDL) was blocking traffic by standing in the street, got told to move, didn't and got arrested. "While police were arresting Storey, Arenas got out of a vehicle and walked toward the arresting officers. According to reports, an officer told Arenas to get back in his vehicle, but he refused, saying he wanted to stand next to his teammate. The officer took Arenas into custody and charged him with resisting without violence. As Arenas was being arrested, according to reports, he said,

The explanation for that could be that Barkley wears bigger shoes now for support due to his 300 plus pound frame.

However that theory doesn't hold up in these pictures of Chuck barefoot on Inside The NBA. Kenny Smith is listed 6'3" so he's probably in the 6'1"-6'2" range and Chuck has him by 4-5 inches.

Well when Charles claims for years he's about 6'4" and then he is 6'7"/6'8" against a height chart obviously it's going to draw some interest.

But the top of his head is probably at 6'7. But can you go to work on the court with the top of your head? I don't think so.

So Barkely's effective height is more like 6'4-6'5. And his arms aren't that long either. So on the court he was as tall as a 6'4 guy. In the elevator if you look in his eyes you see a 6'5 person. However, as a direct result of his cone-shaped head he'd actually measure 6'7.

6'5" is reasonable but anything under that just doesn't make sense based on how Chuck looks IMO. I couldn't find Chuck's pre-draft measurement so we can only guess.

Of course he was undersized regardless of if he was 6'7" or 6'4" and he truly was a once in a lifetime player but it is kind of interesting to discuss. I mean Chuck's height was always been a big debate and it's obvious why.

1.Even if he is 6'6" that's still a good 2-3 inches undersized for a Power Forward
2.He's always playign against big men making him look shorter and his weight also makes him look shorter on the court.
3.Sports Illustrated say he measured 6'4 5/8" at the 1992 Olympics
4.His mugshot shows him to be 6'7" or 6'8" in shoes
5.He has claimed to be 6'4" or 6'4" and change
6.He looks 6'6" even barefoot
7.He's always talking about his height

According to pre-draft measurements Bosh is 6'10.25" without shoes and 6'11.5" with them while Dwight is 6'9" without them and 6'10.25" with them.

However because Bosh has a long neck and Dwight has a short neck Bosh's standing reach is shorter(9'1") than Dwight's(9'3.5"). That's one of a few different reasons Dwight plays bigger than Bosh. The others being Dwight's huge strength advantage, superior athleticism and mindset to be a true a center.

One of the pictures of Dr. J is from the 90's when he was in his 40's and the other is from his playing career during the mid 80's when he was in his 30's. He didn't shrink that early. Nique and Magic are also only a few years older than Barkley.
