Therefore, I don't see the Lakers beating the Spurs out of 7 games if nothing goes wrong. Hornets are not clearly better than the Lakers. Lakers are better offensively and I think the lakers are capable of playing better D. Plus Lakers bench is superior as well. Spurs are better than the Jazz but not by a whole lot. Jazz are one of the better defesive teams and a very well rounded team. Its not likt the Lakers beat a bunch of slouches.

I don't know whether it's coincidence, but the Spurs managed to defeat the Lakers in the same way as they did to the Hornets at home after two pathetic road losses. The Spurs are surely old and slow, but they are still the defending champion and will probably still be dominating the league in 2-3 years. Besides, it's wise to accept the fact that the Lakers are actually not even as good as the Hornets without Andrew Bynum. Therefore, I don't see the Lakers beating the Spurs out of 7 games if nothing goes wrong. The Spurs will most likely to win the rest of the 3 games to clinch the final in 6 according to what happened in last game. In a word, the Lakers are for the future, while the Spurs are still the champion for now.
