I been wearing Converse basketball shoes since I was in the 6th grade and now with more NBA players getting signed with Converse, I think they could be a power house in the footwear game again. i bought my son some d.wade's a couple of yrs ago and they were horrible. he was sliding all over the floor and it was messing him up during games. they had no grip and i haven't bought another pair of cons since.

The Magic Johnson one is ugly, the purple,white,yellow ones, or maybe I'm thinking that cuz I don't like those colors on a shoe, it looks ugly to me, but I really like the Bird ones, those look fly, the black and white, I'd want those:D

I just got my Red and White Dr. J's last Saturday. I gotta find the old Celtic, green and white, Converse from when Dennis Johnson played, those are sweet!! And who can forget the Sky Blue Converse that North Carolina rocked in the 80s.

I know. People say "stop living in the past" But the 1980s Converse were some great shoes.

Lol, yesterday I wore a pair of old plain All Stars, and when I came home after the streetball games (6 games, +- 3hours or something) I had two gigantic blisters of aproximatley (sp?) 5cm in lenght on my foot soles :D




btw; anyone know what to do with the blisters?

blisters are a norm and you gotta live with em, no matter what shoes you're wearing or when or why or whatever.
Just don't pop em, let em be, they'll fall off by themselves. Get used to the pain/discomfort, the more you have it, the less you pay attention to it, and the harder your skin becomes. If you're paranoid about infections, wash em up a bit with hydrogen peroxide, but most of the time you dont have to apply anything at all.

back when i just started playing bball, I used to wear non-baller shoes that were crappy overall, and i had blisters every day and after games almost limped heh.

Standard converse shoes are very comfortable and stylish, but the problem is they get dirty easily from stains and didn't aren't very good for basketball. They are nice to own, but not good for balling...

Nikes. Jordans to be specific. Anyway, I was never a fan of Converse, as when the first thing that comes to my mind when I hear that name are those Chucks, which always give me aches, especially since I'm flat-footed. I've heard that those (now-defunct) Wades were very comfortable though. Even more comfy than most Nike shoes.

wade 5's are sick, hope they see the light of day. i found wade 2's fairly stiff tho, and that was the end of me and converse.

I know this thread is old but I don't think any1 mentioned the Larry Johnson/Grandmama shoes with the React Juice system.

They looked really good and their commercials were funny. I emailed Converse for them to re-issue them but they didn't reply anything back to say if they will or not.
