I bought the Mega Drive and N64 from a garage sale a couple of years ago for $50 with a bunch of games for each. Hardly played them, but it's still kinda cool to have. I also had a NES and a Atari 2600 as a kid, but unfortuantly they both kicked the bucket.

I got my original NES back in the summer of 1987. The Atari 7800 and the Intellivision were originally my sisters and she handed them down to me. I had got most of the consoles at launch or with in the first year for stuff like the Genesis and the Turbo Grafx.

I didn't get the AES until 2003 with my tax return money

My question is, do you actually PLAY them? Like once you have the new systems and all the old popular ones, at what point do you wake up and randomly go "i think i feel like playing Japanese Sega Saturn today"?

Nice collection Sonic.

I've had tons of systems over the year, but never kept them.

I had a Neo Geo Gold System with 3 games (Art of Fighting, Samarui Showdown, Fatal Fury). They were essentially arcade games at home. The console was like 500$ and the games were around 200$ if I remember correctly (this was early 90's). It came with full size arcade controls and the games were the size of systems today, haha.

Another overlooked system I owned was the 3DO. This system had superior graphics to the original PS and was out before the Playstation I believe. I'm not sure what happened with that system, perhaps Nintendo and Sony were just too strong. Road Rash on the 3DO was years ahead of it's time for home gaming.

How about the Turbo Graphix 16? What a weird system that was.

Thats about it… I'll just get in a mood and decide I'll play what ever console and game that feels right at the moment… Last night I was playing Genesis (Shadow Dancer and Streets of Rage) and right now I am playing Last Resort and Shock Troopers on the PS2 SNK arcade classics collection.

Its kind of like when you get in a mood to listen to a certain song I guess :confusedshrug:

I wasn't lucky enough to have a Neo Geo when I was young :cry: but I knew a couple guys who had one and I used to rent it alot. I did get a memory card since you could use it in the MVS arcade units and the AES home systems.

I had got the 3DO when it came out and spent a whopping $600 on it which was at cost since I worked at a game store in high school! The original Need for Speed and Return Fire were games I had the most fun with. The controllers used to daisy chain together and my friend and I spent hours playing Return Fire and Samurai Shodown… I ended up selling it to him and he still has it to this day…

was Return Fire the game where you controlled the Tanks?

that game was awesome.

Another awesome game with Third World War (i think) for Sega CD. You got to take over the world using both Military and Economic functions. Way ahead of it's time.

I run 3 switch boxes and 4 power strips(w/circut breakers) - each on their own outlet. My TV has 4 input channels. The Top loader NES is RF only so that is on channel 3. To get something going, I just got to select a channel and press a button on the switch box and thats it.

As I said, impressive! :pimp:

I cant wait to finish my basement myself.

They are actual arcade cabinets.

To play different games, you have to switch the PCB's

I had a ps3, but I just wasn't playing it, so I sold it plus Motorstorm for roughly the same price I paid for it. The only systems I still play are basically ps2, occasionally ds, and dreamcast(realized a couple weeks ago I never finished sonic adventure, so I'm giving it another shot).

Sorry for the late reply, i was only able to bump this thread again today.

So far I've only had two games for my switch. I have saints row 4 and god wars, the latter which is a japanese tactical rpg that came free with the console but didn't like it that much.

Therefore, I've been playing SR4 ever since i got the game two weeks ago and that's what I've been enjoying the most, especially since i got two copies of the game. The other copy I gave to my brother because in the game, there's a local two player mode and everytime we play it that way, we would have fun.
