I'd take my chance with Barkley, TMac and Kobe. All 3 are exceptional defenders when they put their mind on it, and all 3 can't really be stopped 1 on 1. MJ might be able to to the best job 1 on 1, but Bird would be abused by any of those 3.

Bird/MJ/Pippen has two weaknesses: Bird is a liability on defense, Pippen isn't a great 1 on 1 player, doesn't have a great pull-up J nor great handles, nor is he more athletic than TMac/Kobe.

First of all McGrady would get lit up by Jordan. I wouldn't say he really has a size advantage because even though he's like an inch taller, Jordan was MUCH stronger. A lot of people forget how strong Jordan was. So McGrady wouldn't really have an advantage because he was never near the defender Kobe was either.

Second of all there is no way in hell Jordan or Bird could defend Garnett. Jordan would be giving up about 7 inches, KG's shot wouldn't even be contested and Bird would be giving up 3 inches plus KG would have a huge quickness/athleticism advantage. Bird wasn't a great defender either.
