1.) Michael Beasley - perennial 20/10 scorer and should put up big numbers this season
2.) Derrick Rose - it might take him a while to adjust after this season; but as he finds his game, he'll be a top 3 point guard for years to come
3.) OJ Mayo - a well rounded player who can score at will and has a few all star games in his future
4.) Danilo Gallinari - has a very high basketball IQ and will be a great fit in D'Antoni's system. A lot of people think this guy will be another highly touted European baller that can't play in the NBA, however I think Gallinari's great passing ability and ability to get the ball in the hole in a variety of ways will turn him into a successful NBA player and could even be a 20 PPG guy in a matter of time.
5.) Kevin Love - can score on the blocks, can rebound, excellent poster passer, he can ignite the fast break with his unbelievable outlet passing, and he can hit permiter J's. The only question mark is his defense.
6.) Eric Gordon - a guy that can get you a lot of offense and a pretty solid perimter defender, has the potential to put up huge offensive numbers like Kevin Martin.
7.) Joe Alexander - the second coming of Shawn Marion
8.) Brook Lopez - not a guy that will dazzle you with his athletic ability, but he'll get the job done and should be a solid NBA center in the mold of a Nenad Krstic or Brad Miller, not the draft bust that everyone is predicting him to be.
9.) Russell Westbrook - not as high on him as I am on a lot of these other guys; his game resembles Lou Williams to me more than Monta Ellis as he's been compared to. At worst, his excellent defensive skills will keep him in the league.
10.) DJ Augustin - He's a hell of a player, but he's too undersized in the NBA and unless you're named Allen Iverson, guys this size don't become very successful. I see him as a poor man's Jameer Nelson.

Well you never know, they might try to work him in at PF, =/ But all i know is that Joe Alexander is a monster, and if hes backing up or not hes going to be good. Kind of sucks that he will be backing up mike redd and richard jefferson tho.But you could put him at pf cuz bogot is big enuff to pick up the slack lol all i know..

Micheal Redd
Richard Jefferson
Joe Alexander
Andrew Bogot

Lineup looks CRAZY, with alexander or villanova in there..Going to be a good team..watch and see :confusedshrug:

Love will be the second best player in this draft behind Rose. Worst case scenario is a better passing David Lee. Best case is Kevin McHale 2.0.

I think DeAndre Jordan is gonna be one of the best players in
this draft. Any team that picked 15th or higher should have taken
a chance on him.

D-Rose
06-29-2008, 09:49 PM
As Jay Bilas said, DeAndre has good size and athletisicm but once teams worked him out he had nno basketball skills. Basically an athletic Kwame Brown if you ask me. You never know he could prove us all wrong...

Everyone loves Alexander but he shouldn't have been a lottery pick. The guy will never be more than a role player.
He's not fluid enough to be a star. He'll be a hustle guy in the league.

It's not like Gordon has no handles at all. Yeah, he's not a PG, and doesn't have the handles of one, but he is by no means a bad dribbler, and has no trouble using it to get to the basket.

Based on statistical rookie year I would say:

1. Mayo-Will get a ton of time for Memphis as their starting SG
2. Love-Will get a ton of time for Minnesota as a starter, but next to Jefferson won't get the best stats
3. Rose-Will get a lot of time, but will share the ball with a couple other good gaurds
4. Beasley-Should be #1, but I'm still not sold the Heat love him and I think Marion and Haslem will take some of his time
5. Gordon-Should get a starting spot or at least a lot of time even with the addition of Baron Davis
6. Gallinari-Ready to play now and they will give their new franchise player a lot of time to prove himself to the fans
7. Lopez-Should get some good time and a lot of shots despite such a deep frontcourt
8. Westbrook-Should get a ton of time, but this is based on stats and last I knew defense isn't really a stat
9. Alexander-I think it will be tough for him to get a lot of time behind Jefferson and Villanueva, but he still should be solid
10. Augustin-With Felton in place I don't think he gets a lot of time, although his stats should be good for the time he does get

I think the biggest problem is that Alexander and Augusin will be playing behind established players, Westbrook won't score a ton so his stats won't look great, Lopez and Gallinari should both be solid and contribute, but both are in tough situations, and then I think the top 5 all get a lot of time.

Don't forget 4.8 rebounds per game

And if he could make college 3s...he would have made 1 last year.

So you are more impressed with Lopez's 5 ppg advantage over Love versus Love's 10rpg advantage over Lopez? As long as you are happy with soft big man, more power to you but Love will be top 3 in regards to stats next season without a doubt.
