I don't know. I think the troll-ish is at an all time high to me. There's very little civil discussion on basketball here let alone intelligent ones. You have to sift through the plethora of threads that are a waste of space and are only there because the Admin wants traffic to be generated and that's a large part of what traffic is generated is through the trolls.

There's truth to that and the Main Forum is definitely a good example of trolls run amok. But, I think that also reflects a difference in the way people communicate now as compared to a decade ago. Virtually any large message board that is lenient on bans has been overrun by trolls and a lack of civil discussion. Now more than ever, people are less tolerant of views which deviate from their own and less prone to have a meaningful dialogue about it.

It almost always devolves into name calling or a p!ssing contest. And it's getting worse all the time. We will probably look back at this thread in 2024 and talk about the good old days of 2016. :facepalm
