your list is close enough for me but no mention of Byron Scott? I mean if you got Paxson and Ron "Baby Jordan" Harper in there.

Harper was best from about 86 to 93. he's kind of a decade tweener. he was hell in his prime though.

Paxson had some good years. maybe about 5 or 6. he played some forward too though.

Forgot about B. Scott also, hell who else am I forgetting? Jeff Malone.

just a side note from all the top ten 80's teams by position, the Sixers may be the only team to field a player in every position.

PG- Maurice Cheeks
SG- Andrew Toney
SF- Julius Erving
PF- Charles Barkley
C- Moses Malone

Hell, you could argue Bobby Jones should be on one of the forwards list.

Very good list, I can't complain with that.

I'd add Darrell Griffith and Michael Cooper to the honorable mentions list

Dumars belongs at 5 in terms of ability but his best years were early 90s.

Jordan admitted that Dumars was the toughest defender he faced. Dumars was also a 20 ppg player who shot well from 3 and was clutch. He was one of the few guys who lit up Jordan at times in the playoffs.

Toney was a player but he had bad feet which really hurt his career.

I think Gervin and Drexler should be ahead of Moncrief.

This is the '80s so no way. Maybe Gervin, just maybe but Glide for sure comes after "The Squid" in the '80s.

MONCRIEF
-5 Time All-Star
-5 Time All-NBA (One 1st team)
-2 DPOYS (the first two at that)
-3 Eastern Conf Finals Appearances

GERVIN
-6 Time All-Star
-6 All-NBA Teams

DREXLER
-4 Time All-Star
-2 All-NBA Teams

Moncrief was very good in his prime and a great defender no doubt. But I'll take a late 80's Drexler over a mid 80's Moncrief anyday. I might put Moncrief ahead of Gervin because I think The "Iceman" is one of the most overrated players in NBA History. But like I said...I'll take Drexler over Moncrief.

Adrian Dantley and Chris Mullin should be in there. :)

Adrian Dantley ,although he played Forward-Guard...if this man was in his prime in the 90s Slow Paced Half Court Game or in the 2000s he would play SG and would be schooling every one in his position (including the Most Overrated Star in the Last 10 Years: Bryant!) Offensively through High FG% Efficiency and PPG Avg, his Rebounding capacity for a 6`5 er, good 1 on 1 defender, good passing abilities
