thats not entirely true. The forum was significantly better when I joined (it was why I joined). Posters like thorp and adamcz would start real discussions and write pages of well informed bball talk that I actually learned quite a bit from. Many of the knowledgeable posters (former semi-pros, etc) that are still here were much more active in the main forum as well. While there were certainly kb and bron fanbois, they didnt derail every thread like they do know.

Sure, it had its issues, but before ~2009, the main forum was one of the better bball discussion sites on the web. Now its a joke.

I've been reading basketball forums for years now. There aren't any good ones around. Most are full of fanboys.

I remember ISH from 2006, and it was better than 07/08 by a lot.

thread topics don't even HAVE to mention the top stars anymore and that's what sucks. It could be a thread about Glen Rice vs. Joe Johnson and somebody will randomly go "I'd take both over Queen James, at least they won't quit on you" and then it starts. I've seen so many topics that have nothing to do with Kobe/Bron/Heat/Jordan turn into threads about them just cuz their haters/fanboys WANT every topic to be about them
