If I wanted an inferior product with crappier players, I'd watch NCAA.
Didn't the majority of NBA players come from the NCAA?:confusedshrug:

The Hawks are now looking like the worst run front office in the NBA.
Josh Smith should sign a 1 year deal and opt out next year:pimp:

Only dumb asses think it's a good thing to distribute talented players globally.

No.. I watch the NBA. I want to see the best of the best all playing against each other... which is something that no other league will ever offer. If the NBA ends up failing or talent ends up going all over... we will never see it again. Is that what you really want? If so, I hate you.
Make no mistake... I don't care if it's in America, or whatever. I just want all the talented players in one single league so we can see them go against each other. I wouldn't care if the NBA were based out of China and all of the teams as over there as long as I got to see them on TV.
A championship league featuring the best teams from Europe, North and South America, Asia, Africa, and Australia. Even better, without NBA referees.

A strong European league can only be good for the game.

LMAO at this deal. He should be black-balled from ever coming back to the NBA. Its one thing to never get an opportunity to play in the NBA and then come over, but to play and develop here and then go overseas just cause he isn't worth the money over there is just ludicrous.
Not that anyone will miss him, its just a matter of principle.
What about his family?
Dos he have kids?
Is he gonna uproot his entire family and take them over there just they can speak broken Greek?
If he wanted o go overseas, why didn't he do it straight out of college. This dude is a joke. Instead of being inspired to play with the best, why not just focus on making the best dollar via euro exchange rates, heh!!!
You're a clown.
I know Americans think that America is the only place worth living because you guys think your country is the only place that has freedom and everywhere else people are on house arrest after 11pm or something...
but newsflash--other countries are great too.
What's wrong with moving to Greece?

FIBA refs and rules, though. The NBA players would hate that.

Of course you're going to give a confused shrug because you're slow. Are you even aware of how many teams are in the NCAA, and thus, how watered down the talent is in comparison to the NBA? Not to mention the ever growing number of players from other countries in the NBA.
There is absolutely no feasible way to keep the talent at its current concentration level that the NBA has if the top guys start going all over the place. A "championship" league is an absolutely ridiculous concept. Playing something to the effect of 82 games in one place and then all getting together to essentially play what would be the equivalent of the playoffs with only the "championship" teams participating would not even be close to the same thing we have today.
Those "championship" teams would still be watered down versions of NBA teams. You think that the Knicks are bad? Haha. Well, imagine the vast majority of the teams in the world being equivalent to the Knicks. Because that's what you'd be getting. An inferior product.
Do any of you honestly believe that there is enough global talent to support multiple teams in multiple leagues, mind you, and still keep the competition level the same? I know better. Want to know why? The All-Star teams from entire countries aren't even as good as regular NBA teams.
Watering down the talent pool is never a good thing. Imagine the current NBA with 60-90+ teams. That's what you'd be getting.

OK buddy, I get your point. I even agree with you. It's pretty obvious that if you spread the number of elite athletes across the globe in numerous leagues you'll get a watered down NBA. Right we got that.
But with the opportunity for professional ball players to make a considerable amount of money (euro>us dollar) it's inevitable that more and more players will jump aboard.
But you gotta help me out cuz I'm sloooooooooow.

Childress has the right idea. Get outta here and go live in Greece, sounds good to me. Make more money then you will here, don't deal with the US Government, play a more pure brand of basketball...this was a good move, and the NBA better hope this doesn't become a trend...
If there was pro baseball in Europe, I'd be gone pretty soon too...
Why not go ahead and go? It would cut down on the overpopulation in america.
