And THIS quote is why it doesn't matter if you've "played the game" before at your local basketball court with your neighbors. It doesn't even matter if you played in D3 college, or D1. It doesn't even matter if you played in the g-league, the nba, or even became the only player in NBA history to win the DPOY 3 times in a 4 year span.
Dwight Howard just said this...
“Everything Jordan did, Kobe did it better.”

Can anyone take pro sports players opinions seriously when they're saying shit like this?

Re:
Dwight's never been known as a student of the game
To be honest, the most surprising thing here is the fact he believes Kobe's the GOAT given their history. That's pretty interesting

At least someone out there gets it.
NBA players opinions can be as complete dogshit as the fans, if not significantly worse.
The "BUT HE PLAYED AND UR A KEYBOARD NURD HAHAH!!! I'LL TAKE THE WORD OF PAUL PIERCE OVER U... THANK U VVVVVVVVEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRYYYYYYYY MUCH! UR A NOBODY! DMBASS!~!`" argument is the laziest and most incomplete argument ever and I cringe uncontrollably every single time I read it.

Dwight is saying this for attention. He is completely irrelevant now and hates it.

Well sometimes doctors prescribe the wrong meds, or say something wrong, or being a pedo like Larry Nassar. Does that mean you'd take a Walmart janitor's word over doctors? Of course not. In general you trust doctors more than non doctors over medical stuff. The same applies here.

so cause one NBA player is an idiot, we should discount opinions of ALL athletes?

No... but the vast majority of NBA players have proven repeatedly to be absolute dog shit at analyzing.
Nevertheless, that's not even the point, dumbass.
The point is that just because someone played at an extremely high level, their word shouldn't be taken as gospel.
Look at Magic Johnson... this guy is inarguably top 10, maybe even top 5... and his brain off the court is complete and utter trash ass dogshit.
It's so worthless I wouldn't piss on it, even if it were on fire and that were the only way to put it out.
Look at Michael Jordan.. lol.

No it doesn't. Charles Barkley, Shaq, Billups, etc all have horrendous takes.

Yet in general they're much better than the population's takes.

Compared to who? Most NBA players are in the public so their opinions are gonna be more scrutinized. As a whole, I seriously doubt they have worse takes than your average fan or media member

Well, if Dwight Howard said something, case close.
