Independents HATE Trump. We saw it last night in NH when Nikki Haley decisively won the Independents vote.
They hate him for his corruption.
They hate him for his lies.
They hate his anti-Ukraine, anti-NATO stance.
They hate him for bragging on the campaign trail that he’s the reason Roe V Wade was overturned. According to all the polls, more than 60% of Independents opposed SCOTUS’s decision.
Many Independents might not like Joe Biden. But in the case of a rematch between Biden and Donald Trump, most will vote for Biden just to stop Trump.

It definitely will translate to that for some of them. How many of them is hard to say, but the fact that nearly half of Republicans want to move on from Trump is not a good sign for him.
