He doesn't want to get amnestied. He can come back in a few years when he feels better.
sorry Roy
no way. wtf
His knees must be a big issue.
Damn, that's too bad.
:( :( :( poor Brandon...what he did in the playoffs with those knees was amazing.
wow... atleast the last thing you'll remember bout him is that playoff game
against the mavs where he took over...
Welp. Time to admit I was wrong guys. Roy would have been a bad signing for anybody obviously. God this is such fu**ing sad news. I loved the guy! WHY DID THIS HAVE TO HAPPEN TO SUCH A CLASS ACT!?
damn, and i drafted him in fantasy basketball expecting a comeback year, this sucks.
I mean, for many of us Blazer fans, it was coming.
But right now? Shoot, that's too fast man. He was supposedly doing well in the summer according to all the college/NBA players who scrimmaged with him. I'm in shock right now.
Such a good guy, too. One of the most mature, humble dudes out there. It's very rare that you get a player who's as good of a player as he is a human being.

Better for him to go down like this, then say like an Allan Houston.
27 years old. Bummer. Portland's cursed, I blame Vulcan.

Damn man. It's so shi**y. Brandon Roy was a lot of peoples favorite player outside of the team they root for. Dude just had it all. Humility, personality, leadership, great all around game. Even other players like Kobe, Joe Johnson, Wade and other peers loved him as a person and baller. This isn't right that at 26 or 27 he's forced to retire.

Especially after his glorious playoff game. It just sucks :( .
