The article actually says he was fired during the mist of part of the record losing streak, which extended into the Eurocup.
The record lasted over Euroleague and Eurocup. The team lost something like 48 games in a row in both leagues in European competition.
As the article states, he lost 17 in a row as coach, just in Eurocup alone before being fired.
So no, the article does not say the opposite.

So they lost every game that season, but still made the Playoffs?
The article also says he won championships in Croatia, Slovenia, Lithuania, Israel, Spain, and Turkey.
So I guess you can be a really bad coach and still tear up Europe? Or maybe he's not actually that bad of a coach?
Not sure which way EL's going on this one. :confusedshrug:

Cibona was eliminated in eurocup's first round with an overall 1-9 record, they won their last game but he had been fired by that point.
