The feeling lefties get when a group of self-important, successful white elitists make a show of bestowing some award, recognition, or financial benefaction unto a lowly, obviously insecure black man is something they just absolutely cannot get enough of.

Even when the black guy isn't lowly and insecure, and the award is completely undeserved, they won't let those trivial details get in the way of the circle jerk to their own contrived benevolence.

It's the whole essence of the Robin Hood complex. These people WANT to be heroes of some kind, but they don't actually have any meaningful ways to contribute and get that kind of recognition. So they just balloon up social justice issues like inflated punching bags, so they can attack this hollow adversary, JUST so they can look righteous to everyone as they fight it.

I think the committee already has one white guy picked out for an award. Can't have any more than that, we are in the "One Of Everyone" Era now. The remaining awards have to go to an asian, a black man, a woman, a transgender, and in light of the recent islamic terror attacks, a Muslim, just as a good will gesture to show everyone that it's #notallmuslims

I expect a randomly selected Muslim to receive some kind of Presidential medal of freedom or international courage award etc. in the coming months.
