I was wonderin' how many shots do you think I should shoot a day to get on the "A" team?
I am guessing 300 or 400 but I'm not sure.
Also, how much do you think I should practice a day to get on the "A" team.

I shoot 400 on a school day and 600 a day on weekends aswell as practice.
our school has "the gun" so i shoot about 500 in 45 minutes or so and it has to be over 55% or i go for another 100
This is how much I've been playing so far this summer.
Saturday: 515 shots, 2 hours and 25 minutes.
Sunday: 330 shots, 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Monday: 168 shots, 3 hours.
Totals: 1013 shots, 6 hours and 55 minutes.
My goals are 300 shots a day and 1 hour and 30 minutes a day.
Is this a good amount?
This is what i would do and i suggest that you do it also is go for a number of makes not shots. I go for like 300 makes a day when im working on my jumper.
alright. yesterday and today i played for 4 hours each day. 400 shots yesterday and 325 today.
also, i played in a 5v5 game with 3 "a" kids and i scored 10 or 12 points in about 15 minutes. i think that i might be able to make that team if tryouts were today so i think there is no question i will when tryouts come in september. i am just gonna keep workin my  off.

good job man. Good to see some work ethic.
I made A team my eighth grade year but didnt play that much. So I played C team the last game and pretty much played the whole game. It was tight.

yea thats really good
well theres no way per say to make "a" team though i gotta say at the rate your goin pretty good but dont worry how many shots you take but how many you make because in a game u can miss 500 shots but that doesnt win u a game. work on jumpers, fakes and im a post so i work on my short range a lot but i work on my medium shot to. If you really wanna make a team just work on every shot lay-ups even fades once you have the jumper down. I made c team last year im goin into 8th now but i played all game and scored more than most a teamers =P good luck just keep at it.
Depends on how good your 'A' team is man. If it's anything like ours, you'll have to fight for your position. It's not just shots that'll make you good, it's everything, need to dribble, be able to rebound and all sorts of stuff.
Our coach is like no other coach. He's not into style. On our team of 10, we have 10 forwards. Every play MUST know how to play the other players position and every player MUST be able to shoot, dribble, rebound, pass. We never work on that stuff anymore.
But yeah, It all depends on the strength of your 'A' team and your coaches coaching style, and how many other players there are at your position trying it. If there is heaps. Up your shots to about 500 a day, and about 2 hours per day.
i got the "Ganon Baker superman workout for all players" and it has ball handling, driving, finishing, shooting off the catch, shooting off the dribble and conditioning. i would reccomend it to ne1.
I been gettin it in since i was little the hard work do pay off i shoot 100 shots for warm up and 500 and the next day 250 left hand jumpers some people can do it but if u cant 500 should be good just make sure they aint just catch and shoots work on ya moves ect..
depends on how good you wanna be...
500 is pretty good
what is this A, B, C team i keep hearing?
Maybe i dont get out much, but when i was back in HS there were JV, and Varsity
