Guy went from 10 PPG to 20PPG.
I know he's a sophomore, but if it doesn't hurt Fox's case, why should it hurt his?

I dont think it has much to do with him. Fox is on a 500 team in the west that is playing above expectations. Collins team is...whatever the Hawks are.
I like him a lot. And im sure he will get a lot of votes. He might even win. But the media isnt gonna zero in too much on him. Its hard talking up two young guys on a 20 whatever win team. Trae is the guard. Hes gonna get the love these days even though Collins is the best player on the team.
Because rookies to sophmores dont get those awards retard. Its progression that they get better after their rookie year.

Now hang on Doofus, I swear you were pushing for Ingram for MIP in his 2nd season...

That's a fair point,
So why was Fox the frontrunner the whole year until Siakam surged?
Sophomores shouldn't be in MIP conversations, they're SUPPOSED to be better than their rookie year. It's something we expect from basically all rookies.
It should be Siakam, but I have him right there. Trae gets more press, but Collins is our best player right now.
I'm a Hawks fan btw.
Siakam
Went from 51% FG% to 55% FG%
Went from 22% 3P% to 36% 3P%
Went from 62% FT% to 77 FT%
Went from 7.3 PPG to 16.4 PPG
Went from 4.5 RPG to 7.0 RPG

Fair point but going against Siakam seems insurmountable.

Don't forget he went from a bench player to a starter, and he's a huge piece of one of the best teams in the league and has to play against opponents best effort nightly.
He's got MIP locked up methinks.
There's no problem with sophomore getting MIP, as evidenced by Monta Ellis winning it in his sophomore season.
My frontrunner for MIP is Nikola Vucevic. I think he deserved it the most.
