Legitimately the weirdest football score I've ever seen
Illinois & Penn State just went 9 overtimes, NINE, and the game ended with a score of 20-18.

With both teams starting at the opponents 25 yard line at the start of every overtime, how is it humanly possible to go NINE overtimes and have 38 combined points? All it takes is one score to win. Did they turn the ball over on every possession? Miss every single FG attempt? Anyone familiar with college football knows these games typically end up breaking 100 total points, this one ending in such a low score is legitimately mindboggling.

Just read they changed overtime rules this year, and starting in the 3rd OT teams evidently run one play from the 2 yard line. So yeah, probably should've checked to see if they changed the rules before making this thread :lol But I never heard of that rule being put in place, and guess there hasn't been a game go 3 OT's yet this year. Anyway, terrible rule change if you ask me.
