It's just his first year. A little early to call him a scrub. If he doesn't drastically improve in his sophomore year, then we can say he's a scrub.

never too early to call someone a scrub on ISH
Nepotism at it's finest.
He's definitely not as good at basketball as an NBA player is supposed to be. But he is talented as an athlete. Should have been a receiver or something of he wanted to pursue a career in sports. Unfortunately I strongly disagree with the constant praise for his basketball IQ. The only real basis for saying that is his father being a smart player. I'm not calling him stupid but if he was a smart player he would have developed a point guard skill set with the handle to take advantage of his explosiveness. Because thar athleticism is the only thing about him that is remotely NBA level.
A legit NBA career isn't impossible because of that athleticism but he needs to put in a lot of work. He is basically a football athlete that got thrown into an NBA game. Like a 6'1 power forward.

He literally needs to improve at everything, dramatically, to even be average. I'm not even sold on his finishing ability. I think he's average there at best. Middle of lane, finishing with space, he just might be average. But I don't even believe he has the dexterity to get finishes on late contests.
It's dunks or nothing when the NBA season starts. Absolutely no layup game. He is a disaster out there. And psychologically this will be torture for him. LeBron is an insane narcissist to allow to happen.
kid shoots shoots like young lebron with none of the athleticism and size
lakers front office is going to look retarded after another terrible summer
I feel bad for the kid. He should have never declared for the draft.

Being NEPOkid was bad enough......
Bronny James went a step further thanks to his establishment dad...
now Bronny James is a first-of-his-kind, NEPOheartattackid.
Post in the sneaker forum lately, OP?
He's insanely good and a steal for the Lakers.
Lonzo ball with more athleticism. Will take time for him to develop an NBA 3 and get hit footing.
But he's a 3 and D stud who will take off in year 3.
He's really really ****ing good.
Lonzo Ball is 6'6. And a guy should be required to hit at least one 3 before he gets the "3 and D" label..

to be fair what player did the Lakers miss out on with the 55th pick of the draft?
