Naz Reid can space the floor, he can drive the ball, he can pass, he can play D
Naz Reid is a legit better all around player than Gobert and it will show once he goes to his own team.

Better than Toody, sure, but his own team!?
Hes not THAT good bro :lol
According to Xiao he might be Puerto Rico bound soon.
But yeah I agree, far more valuable skill set in the modern NBA and a very well composed under pressure player. Reminds me of a more athletic, much better shooting Al Horford with his diversity. Certainly doesn't get played off the floor like Rudy. Thank god he isn't on the Celtics.
I'm not so sure about that but he's probably better at his role than Gobert is at his. His energy off the bench has been bananas. He's been all over the floor on both ends.
Gobert just has this inexplicable ability to become such a liability on offense it wipes out his defense.

if you look at all the pros and cons and limitations rudy has on your team, it becomes about portability as they say on realgm…rudy is a one of a kind and he’s great but his skillset is so unique i really think it handicaps rosters and rotations

He's better than Gobert but like Fultz said, he's not leading a team anywhere.

Yeah but you dont see him going and being the best player on a team somewhere do you? Outside of maybe the Wizards I dont see where thatd even be possible. And certainly not anywhere thats doing anything but tanking.
Hes a great do-everything energy guy, kinda like a half step up from PJ Washington on the other side… but I dont think you go and specifically build around him. Hes a great complement but he’s still a complement.
Rudy is a cheating frenchie.
Literally has no offensive game except illegal screens and constantly pushes people in the rebounding.
Reid can score but he doesn't have the impact that Toody does and it showed in this game. Was a layup line with Gobert on the bench and that's what lost them the game. Had no business losing a game where the Mavs couldn't make 3s.
No, he can't.
But depending on what his next contract costs, you might find better value starting him and spending Gobert's $45M on other positions of need.

Single game +/- can be very misleading due to sub patterns but it's obvious from watching games that Rudy's defense is far more important than Reid's offense. The 5-10 extra points he might score due to his shooting ability mean nothing when the opposing team is constantly getting buckets in the paint to offset whatever he's doing on offense. Reid also gambles a lot for steals/blocks on D where if he doesn't get it it's an easy bucket for the opponent, and he's nowhere near as good at boxing out & rebounding the ball.
