I was working that day. Very weird, swirly fog. We went out to look at a piece of equipment. A blue and white helicopter flew low overhead and we all thought it was nuts to be flying. In my head I wondered if it was Kobe.
A couple of hours later the phone started blowing up.

Kobe was my first basketball jersey, 8 rookie.

Wow that is pretty unbelievable. It feels like it happened maybe 2 years ago max.

That announcement hit different. I didn’t believe it and thought it was some sort of terrible prank. Was truly awful.
