This is devastating.

If only this kid were a girl who lost her soccer game to a boy. Then he might get some sympathy.

It was the mother's choice and fault. The mothers of the children including this child with cancer came into the country illegally. She then gave birth after illegally coming into the U.S. Having a naturalized child through birth on U.S. soil doesn't make you immune from the county's immigration laws. And the mothers of the children made the choice themselves to have their children come with them back to Honduras instead staying in the U.S. for further treatment. The government was recognizing the child's naturalized citizenship and gave her the option to keep her son here for treatment, but the mother took her son back with her to Honduras.

In any case you're going to have situations like this and it's going to be hard to read some of these stories, but also the parents of kids like this made the choice to not seek asylum and come into the country illegally.

I am devastated.
