Gretchen Whitmer put on a political masterclass yesterday. She created thousands of jobs to strengthen the economy and then made Trump to come to Michigan to thank her for it.

I know all you really care about is owning libs. The fact that you're just posing this as a win for Trump/loss for libs and ignoring that it might also be a classy move by Whitmer for the betterment of her constituents tells us this.

I guess in a perfect world for you, Democrats and Republicans should always be at each other's throats without any willingness to give an inch or reach common ground?

It's definitely a classy move from Whitmer. She's a soulless puppet obviously, but clearly she sees which way the wind is blowing and is trying to cozy up to the winning side. Whether that side is the right, the middle... whatever. Unity is great for the country whether it's genuine or even if the politicians are just playing pretend.

I'm thrilled that Trump can unite the parties. Your beef isn't with me, it's with the other posters in this thread who think Trump is Hitler. They are the ones who would rather watch it all burn down then admit they were wrong.

Every time a democrat embraces Trump or humanizes Trump, the board libs die a little on the inside. It exposes them as the frauds and phonies that they are. Just look at how mad Off The Court is. The guy is clearly fuming. I'm sure if we dig back far enough we can find examples of the board libs propping Whitmer up as a future presidential nominee, but they wouldn't dare do that now. She embraced Hitler.

I just don't get the way you've framing this so matter-of-factly. "Look at what Trump has done!". One could just as easily say that Trump is a notoriously petty and even vindictive person, and in order to remotely get anything from him you have to "cozy" up. And with that the argument could be made that it's not Trump heroically uniting the parties, but Whitmer deciding to be the bigger person for the greater good.

Are either of those sides I described the whole truth? Who knows but it doesn't really do anyone any good to be so clearly touting one end. Trump's staunchest supporters treating him like he's a god IS part of the problem. It completely prevents honest discourse.

Not that most people are looking for that here.

In 2020 during the initial Covid strain, Trump sent New York City a full navy hospital ship with 1,000 beds to help alleviate the burden on the local hospitals.

In totality the ship ended up treating only 179 patients because Governor Cuomo said it wasn't needed. Instead he forced nursing homes to accept the Covid patients which ended up killing [B]thousands[/B] of nursing home residents.

And why did he send Covid patients to nursing homes instead of the medical ship? Because the democrats were all in on making Trump the face of Covid and couldn't risk making it look like he did something positive.

So yea, the two sides aren't the same at all. You can pretend all you want.
