OT: ESPN's ultimate NFL roster since 2000

I know, it's not basketball, but due to the stupid schedule we don't even have a game until tomorrow night, and I know there are lots of NFL fans on here.

The biggest takeaway to me were their running back selections. Not saying those guys aren't all ballers, but to not have Tomlinson & Pederson, imo the two best running backs over that timeframe, not on the roster is pretty indefensible.

Obviously LT & Peterson not making it is a fail, but how does Justin Jefferson who has only played 5 years make it over Antonio Brown? Still too early to put Jefferson on the list.

Lavonte David over guys like Von Miller, TJ Watt & Derrick Brooks is insane.

And if you want to label TJ Watt a DE like some do he should have made it over Allen.

I just realized they left Fitzgerald off the list too, he didn't even make the practice squad :lol Absolutely terrible

Having David over those 3 is awful too

And I know judging offensive lineman is very difficult, but I find it hard to believe neither Walter Jones or Jonathan Ogden made it either

If you value longevity, Fitzgerald should be on the list, even though Antonio Brown had a more dominant prime. Both deserve to be on the team ahead of Jefferson.

And I think Jefferson is something special, just too damn early for him to be on it.

I would probably put Walter Jones over Trent Williams, only reason why I'm not too upset is because Joe Thomas & Trent Williams who made the team over them are animals & Ogden played some of his prime in the 90's.

I know his production is impeachable but I always found Marvin Harrison, if overrated isn't the right word, to just not be quite as dominant as his numbers would indicate.

I understand the playoffs are a small sample size and he's just a receiver, but he was genuinely the biggest playoff underachiever I've ever seen for a positional player of his status in the league. I think Moss, Cavin, Fitz, TO, AB & Julio would be the correct 6.

No disagreements there, all 4 have valid arguments, Trent just doesn't quite have the resume of the other 3.

Antonio Brown should be in there at WR.

Patrick Willis should be in there.

Obviously the RB selections you mentioned already. Preiest Holmes did have a great 3 year stretch, but putting him above LT is criminal.

The Priest Holmes one is just baffling, I'm not even sure how you could put him ahead of someone like Shaun Alexander.

Holmes is a complete stat nerd pick. His metrics from 2001-2003 are great and all. But he was also a product of KC insane offensive line (arguably the best o-line of the 2000s). He was never as good as LT or AD, who are among the top 5-8 backs of all-time.
