What's the point? If a nuclear holocaust happens, all you're doing is delaying the inevitable. Rather go out quick than a slow drawn out death.

bulk dry food like lentils and rice. i'd probably go to mexico if sh1t went down though, it's a lot easier to live on a ranch down there vs the US inner city, not to mention too many people here have guns and will try to steal from you.

There are other forms of Doomsday…. Doesn’t have to be nukes.
Zero Day on Netflix does a good job depicting a massive cyberattack that cripples the financial system.
And if a nuke hit Seattle or the West Coast…. That is something America could survive, but there would be many hardships for folks on the East Coast & Central America that they would have to overcome… like obtaining gasoline.
Either way, there are several scenarios where goods & services could be put on pause and cease to flow… far beyond what Covid delivered.
I wouldn't call me a prepper, but I do have an emergency backpack for my daughter and I with the essentials if we have to move out fast. Freeze dried food, some tools, lights, gravity water filter, trauma kit. You can put together a good setup for the cheap to get by.

It’ll be a cyberattack that mass deletes financial logs and records of ownership. Imagine if something like that happens and your neighborhood can literally just claim you’re squatting in their home and they want you out. A fight will have to break out at that point and someone will probably be injured or dead, now imagine that on a national scale. People will start forming gangs to lay claim on properties and goods, and no one will work because there’s no guarantee they’ll get anything for it.
I’m all for abolishing the current corrupt financial system set in place at the moment btw, so I’m in no way arguing for it, but it has to be done gradually. Trying to do something too drastic overnight on large scales will always cause a lot of problems.

IMO society proved to be pretty resilient in covid. Regardless of your opinions on the virus itself, society literally shut down completely for a while. If a nuke went off in some US city? I think it would be the same. Society shuts down for sec, takes in the news, and then right back to work.
Japan was nuked twice. Didn't stop them from continuing on.

If shit really hits the fan, they'll be multiple nukes in a bunch of cities. Also, these weapons are a lot more powerful than the ones that hit Japan, nuclear winter would be a thing. Plus all the bombs that hit other parts of the world...

But IMO, it would be like someone from Iran sneaks one in here and sets it off. Followed by the US blowing Iran off the map.
