This is pearl clutching at it's finest. She was a guest and she was being courteous. She said what was in her heart, which was that America is the greatest country, then she realized oh shit I'm not talking to American media that was kind of rude.
If a U.S. rep were in Mexico doing a sitdown interview with Mexican media, talking to Mexican people, it would be pretty tasteless of them to say that America is the greatest country on Earth. It's just not the time and place.
