WHY no 3-peats, 70 wins, 6 chips, or 5 MVP despite 8 more yrs & 2 pippens (big 3's)
What's the case for Lebron aside from playing at a lower level for longer (longevity)?
Compared to Jordan, Lebron's glaring weaknesses are offensive rebounding, turnovers, FT's, mid-range, clutch efficiency (the worst ever), and off-ball/ball movement/low assist teams (he lowers teammates' assists by turning them into spot-up shooter)
So he isn't a complete player, while guys like Bird, Jokic and Magic were better "scorer-passer-rebounders"... Or Shaq, Giannis or Kemp are "bigger, faster, stronger"

Lebron might have had other Pippens' but none of them were paid as badly as Pippen was.
Why couldn't Jordan win in the weakest Eastern conference in 80 years, the number 1 draft pick, blank cap space and a 30PPG player?

Stupid OP.....in a nutshell, the case for Lebron is basically he checks all the same boxes you use to put Mj over everyone else and has some feathers in his cap that Mj doesn't.

Lebron's accomplishments are lower caliber than Jordan, aka repeating instead of three-peating, or needing equal-scoring partners and closers instead of carrying the load (41 ppg to 3-peat).
The Eastern conference also destroyed Lebron in 2008, 2009 and 2010 - he couldn't handle it, so he put the top 3 players in the conference on 1 team to win the conference... Then he was still destroyed by the West in the Finals...
This isn't something that Jordan or anyone needs to do... :confusedshrug:

Mjs accomplishments are of lower caliber than Bill Russell, rather than 8peat he could never make it past 3 without needing a break. He couldn't coach a team to 2 titles while playing either. When it comes to Lebron Mj got beat like a drum anytime he faced a team he wasn't supposed to beat, Lebron on the other hand broke through that barrier multiple times. Mj carried the goat scoring load in the finals with 41ppg but Lebron carried the goat load period by leading his team in all categories and winning a finals vs the only team to ever win more games than Mjs mega bulls. And yeah the Eastern conference also destroyed Mj before Pippen and Grant were drafted and developed too. Then it destroyed him a 2nd time when it was at its weakest state ever and he couldn't even get a playoff spot. Mj never needed to join with anyone because like most great players from his era, they already had the players necessary to win. Lastly I'll reiterate my original point you couldn't touch.

^^^ +2800 preseason odds and a sidekick that produced less than Hornacek means Curry was a 1-man team and 73 wins is a testament to his goatness, NOT roster stackedness - again, it was +2800 preseason roster and a sidekick that produced less than Hornacek, aka 1-man team

No one thinks Russell is goat because no one thinks the titles in 2-pointer basketball compare to modern era titles.. No one thinks that titles in an 8-team league with 9 HOF teammates, while never leading your team in scoring compare to Jordan's carry-jobs in the modern era..
Modern era is what counts (3-pointer basketball), which is why MJ is considered GOAT - he won twice as many "best player" chips as anyone in modern history (since Duncan and Lebron could easily be argued to have 3 chips as the best player).
Lebron beat the only team to ever win more games than Mjs mega bulls.

The Warriors' roster had +2800 preseason odds and a sidekick that produced less than Hornacek, so 73 wins means CURRY is goat-like, not lebron.... Lebron doesn't deserve props for beating a 1-man team with the only "big 3" super-team in the league and the preseason favorite.
Lebron also had unprecedented help by virtue of a 2nd option outplaying the MVP - that's like Mathurin outplaying SGA or Pippen outplaying MVP Barkley - it's impossible to lose in this scenario. yet Lebron needed 7 games because he wet the bed through 4 games (24 and 6 TO's).. So Lebron shouldn't get MORE credit for coming back, since a dominant performance or knockout is better than having to get off the canvas and basically get lucky.
Mj got beat like a drum anytime he faced a team he wasn't supposed to beat, Lebron on the other hand broke through that barrier multiple times.

You obviously have a cursory knowledge of MJ's career - he had plenty of upsets, such as multiple series wins as the underdog and multiple series wins without homecourt.
Furthermore, since Lebron got 3 years to develop favored high seed before entering his first playoffs, he always had high seeds and never had to carry low seeds over top seeds, or the #1 SRS team like MJ did in the 89' Playoffs... After upsetting the #1 SRS team and 4 all-stars in the 1st Round, MJ upset Ewing's Knicks in the 2nd Round..
Both of these upsets required 40 ppg, while Lebron's "upset" of 2 seed vs 1 seed only required 25 ppg in the 07' ECF - Boobie Gibson carried Lebron in the closeout game, and then the Spurs exposed Lebron by making him play worse than anyone ever has (35% and 6 TO's).. Carry on
Mj carried the goat scoring load in the finals with 41ppg but Lebron carried the goat load period by leading his team in all categories and winning a finals
Lebron never "carried" anything because he had equal-scoring partners, equal rebounders, and equal stealers - negligible margins in every category.... So the only category that he "carried" was assists (ball-domination), which every primary ball-handler does in every game.
Otoh, a player that successfully carries the scoring load has defeated maximum defensive attention - this is what Lebron struggled with in the 07' Finals and many other series.. It's also common knowledge that Lebron's inability to carry the "star" category of scoring requires all-time scoring help, thus preventing GM's from getting defensive help or filling out the roster properly.. Accordingly, Lebron's inability to carry the scoring load prevents elite roster construction, while his skillset of turning everyone into spot-up shooter further prevents roster construction.
And yeah the Eastern conference also destroyed Mj before Pippen and Grant were drafted and developed too.
MJ was never locked up or upset like Lebron was for 4 straight years (07-10'), and these destructions made Lebron run away to form super-teams...
