Democrats practically campaigned on open borders. Even now you have democrats refusing to acknowledge that illegal immigrants aren't citizens. The mayor of Los Angeles said verbatim that an immigrant who snuck into the country 15 minutes ago is just as american as you and me.

During Brandon's term when the illegals were pouring in in record numbers, you guys cheered it on and refused to even admit there was a problem. When republicans were campaigning on enforcing the border, democrats were handing out free money and free food to illegals on the taxpayer's dime. You even designated "sanctuary cities". Democrats didn't start caring about border enforcing until about late 2023 when even people in their own base started calling them out on it.
