I would write up a little post on the trend of two big lineups, but unfortunately since I'm not compensated for my efforts to make insightful posts I cant invest the time at present.
But you guys feel free to chat about it if you like.

Depends on which bigs
I'm assuming this thread is not about LeTiny.
Depends on where they are big
It depends which type of bigs. The KEY REASON why the Lakers won a ring in the bubble is because of defensive versatility on that team. AD at the PF was the KEY REASON! Because he's VIRTUALLY a positionless type of player at 6'11 to 7 ft TWO WAY WISE! He's in the club with Giannis and KG for that type type of superstar. SO that MEANS you could keep a two big lineup AS LONG AS YOU WANTED TO because AD could fill so many gaps! No matter WHAT TYPE OF PF a team put out there, AD was READY FOR THAT ACTION!
If you tried to play small ball at the PF, AD would destory them. If you put true PF's on them, AD was just as big or bigger, just as athletic or more athletic, and just as skilled or more skilled! That's why guys like AD, Giannis, and KG are BEST OFF at the PF! Because they are gonna have EVERY ADVANTAGE at that position in terms of size, athletic ability, scoring, and all around ability damn near every night.
At the C, they will run into a Shaq, Joker, Embid, etc. who weigh more, or just as tall or taller, and are unstoppable scoring wise. And they can't post up guys like that OFFENSIVELY as effectively as guys at the PF. I'm NOT SAYING they couldn't be great centers FLAT OUT if they played that position. Just saying I would RATHER HAVE THEM as the PF in a two big lineup!
League is HELLA LUCKY that Boogie got hurt while he was playing with AD in NO! The league AT THAT TIME wasn't ready for combination! Bucks won a ring with Giannis and Lopez. Denver won a ring with Gordon and Joker. OKC won a ring with Chet and Hark. When you look at all those PF's, ALL OF THEM have crazy versatility in their own ways! You could keep them on the court at the PF EVEN IF teams wanted to small at the PF! Even Boston won a ring BECAUSE at times you could go with Al and Porzingis on the court at the time same! Holiday-JB-Tatum-Horford-Porzingis was the PEFECT modern day big lineup when they went to that!
Looks like the jazz plan on going with 4 instead of 3 bigs starting. Easier to to remain the worst defense in the league and tank with 4 and not get fines again for sitting lauri
Depends on matchups
