Dillon Brooks- the new offensive superstar
Brooks has averaged 30 points in his last two games. In less than 30 minutes per game. Against 2 of the best teams in the league- Lakers and Nuggets.
His 2 PT% this year is 57% !
I'm kind of joking around because it's just two games, but he is averaging 22 PTS/game on a team that's winning about 60% of its games.
Re: Dillon Brooks- the new offensive superstar
It's pretty much because he's considered the second option that was expected to be a subpar Suns team behind Booker, but the Suns have been surprising. He has the greenlight to put up 17 shots a game. Especially now if Booker is going to be out. Similiar to a particular season in Memphis where he averaged 17-18 a game over the course of two seasons.
Re: Dillon Brooks- the new offensive superstar
Phoenix may be benefiting from lowered expectations. No one thinks they can win a championship anymore and instead of being seen as a bunch of underperformed scrubs that can't win a championship with a big three they get to play free with more shots and no longer mentally burdened with expectations.

Green will be their 2nd option i imagine

Makes sense. Looks like Booker is expected to be out 2-3 games; but if it's a groin strain, seems like it could be longer.
Brooks has a Doncic like game of banging to get separation and turn around and shoot (doesn't have Doncic's other qualities of passing, playmaking etc. - just in terms of creating separation with physicality). Given his size and strength, and lowering his center of gravity, not too many people can hang with him.

True, the opposing team I think is underrating both the team and Brooks' step up in offense. Might take a few more weeks of this to make scouting reports.

bold of you to assume he can stay healthy.
as the most premier suns fan on the forum, i can proudly say i have not watched any game fully. i did see some highlights and tuned in briefly during some matches early on but tuned away when i saw the same patterns we've had for 5 years. crazy how you can continue to have the same exact problems through so many roster changes and only having on continuous players...almost like a common denominator or sum'n.
