BIGGEST JOKE ever! Kobe winning? LeBron being second? KG being LAST?
Fans are morons.
SHOULD have been:
1. shaq
2. duncan
3. Kobe
4. KG
5. Nash
and lebron shouldnt even have been an option.
I don't mind that as much as LeBron finishing ahead of Shaq & TD.

This.
lebron second? wowzers
WTF, tim duncan 4th? this just shows fans shouldnt be able to vote, first Iverson starting ASG, now this .
Just look who the "fans" voted into the ASG, it tells you all you need to know
Wtfffffffffffffffffff How did Lebron come second Wadeatleast should make the list before lebron he won a ring finals mvp fuc* these fans
It's not about him winning it's about him winning by a LANDSLIDE.
I don't mind that as much as LeBron finishing ahead of Shaq & TD.
Yea the voting stunk.. It was a popularity contest... Congrats to kobe .. At least he was deserving of being first.. Though I would have taken Duncan at first..
People are already forgetting about KG. Kevin McHale is the only one who even mentioned him in that segment.
:violin:

I second this. Fans have no memory whatsoever. Kobe being Player of Decade is fine and something I have no problem over, considering his sustained excellence and popularity this decade, even though I prefer Shaq and TD over him. But Lebron started the season in 2003-2004.... and wasn't relevant in the playoff picture until his 3rd season.
Another fan-voting thing, it means pretty much nothing. Shaq/Duncan should've been 1/2.
Wonder if Kobe'll print out a screenshot of the poll results and put it in his trophy case

Now this man knows what he is talking about. Agree with you 100%
Just another useless popularity contest. Shaq should be on top, but since kobe is more popular...
useless popularity vote
useless popularity vote
D U M A = U M A D
We went over this before the season. Most would say Tim Duncan and Kobe 2nd. Kobe does have a case though.
Wow i mean Wade should come before Lebron agree? He won a championship and a finals mvp.

Completely agreed. Kobe first? Anf fking Lebron 2nd? :banghead:

What a joke.
Are you talking about the player of the decade? Wade and Lebron have provided similar stats during this time though Lebron has simply been more durable, plus he is more familiar to the casual fan.
Anyway, no, Wade is somewhere around 6th if anything.
Shaq, Kobe, Duncan, KG, etc...
Dirk >> Nash

What a joke.
This.
I feel disgusted and embarrased to call myself a NBA fan. What a joke. And then you know there are some people who actually agrees with all this.
What a sad world we live in.

pathetic
We are voting for sidekick of the decade?
1. Duncan
2. Shaq
3. Kobe
 @ LeBron being 2nd...
As Mr. Obvious, it's my job to point out to you that this poll was the result of fan votes.
That is all.
The fans are, for the most part, young and unaware. If you pay attention to basketball and don't get caught up in media hype, then it's easy to see the answer.
Fan Voted, which means its entirely worthless.

Who? Tim Duncan? I'm still not seeing how Shaq is #1 through the decade.
The only thing people should be upset about is LeBron finishing second.
Kobe winning was pretty much a given.
It is all just a ridiculous popularity contest, rather than being based on skill. Duncan getting **** all votes in the Player of the Decade poll?!?
Voting for the All-Star starters made sense when it was done at arenas, but internet and text voting made Iverson a starter this year.
I have nothing against Iverson, it is more the fact that prestige and true recognition is being sucked out of most of the awards in the NBA and placing them in the hands of the most popular/highly marketed players. When this era is looked back on, people who didn't see it are going to see the record books andand have a very skewed idea of what really happened. It is getting out of hand.
/rant.
Why is it so bad that fans vote on stuff? Do we honestly HAVE to care?
Let them vote on everything they want. I can come to my own conclusions just fine.
art thou enraged? :lol
100% agree with you there man, peoples favourite players are getting credited not the players who deliver during the course of the season/playoffs. STOP THAT SHIT!
Wow, you really shouldn't take this so seriously.
Who? Tim Duncan? I'm still not seeing how Shaq is #1 through the decade.
Either. The TNT guys made a good point about Shaq. A lot of people didn't think he had it in him when he won it in 06. Yeah, Wade went crazy but I think it says a lot that Shaq left a championship caliber team and almost immediately won another title. Combine that with being the most dominant player most of us have ever seen (and definitely of the decade), and you can definitely make a case.
It just goes to show you just how stupid humanity can be.
