He actually made all-rookie 2nd team his one year in the NBA. He probably would be a good player regardless of where he played.

LOL even Nick Young seems to have gained respect for him after this tournament. I don't think anyone is going to talk shit about him. Euroleague might, if only to prop up Spanoulis.

Re: Juan Carlos Navarro "La Bomba" Appreciation Thread
A truly great player with an amazing shot. Had he been stronger and with more athleticism he could have made a great career in the nba. Even with his current skillset he would stand out anyway.
Being Gasol the best all-time spanish player Navarro can be called without a doubt the most clutch and the kind of guy that takes responsibility in making the last shot or stepping up when needed. This MVP award is more than well deserved

Navarro is better than 95%+ of all NBA players. Anyone saying otherwise is a complete idiot.
Navarro and Spanoulis are two Euroleague players that could make Team USA A team with no trouble at all. But this forum just bashes on them and says they can't even play in the NBA.
Just ignore the NBA only fan idiots. They know absolutely nothing about basketball.

Navarro is one of my all time favorite players. Except he is a big time arrogant punk with his flopping, his antics, etc.
But I have always loved his game.
As for Spanoulis, he is along with Navarro the two best players in Europe. They would both be great NBA players. Navarrto just had a bad situation in Memphis and Spanoulis just got screwed by his coach after he got into a fight with him.
Navarro is one of the best SGs in the world along with Kobe, Manu, Wade.......Spanoulis is probably the best PG in the world.

D'Antoni, McMillan, and Coach K all told Doug Collins that Spanoulis is one of the top 5 best players in the world.
This comes from Collins himself.
You can decide who the other 4 players are in their minds.

Stop avoiding the question and answer. And I can name more than 4 better  Here's 5 to start with:
LBJ
Wade
Durant
CP3
D12
I assume you won't count Dirk because he's from Europe...

Juan 'I quit' Navarro vs Chris Paul in 2008:
CP3: 28ppg 11apg 4reb 4stl 52%fg 48%3pt
Quitter: 12ppg 2apg 2reb 0.3stl 49%fg 62%3pt
lmao...he'd be Mike Conley's sidekick coming back to Memphis.

What you are saying is real bullshit. Navarro quit cos he was misused by an incompetent coach who used him as 3-pointer and thats about it. Memphis had enough ballhogs for Navarro not even to smell the ball. Besides, hes not a fresh man from college but a mature elite player who had a perfect life in Barcelona. If you cannot see that you have serious understanding issues

Navarro: 13ppg 3apg 2reb 0stl 38%fg
Parker: 21ppg 8apg 4reb 0stl 47%fg

It's true that he is the D-Whistle of Euroleague.
What is also true is that Navarro is 10 times a better player than NBA MVP Derrick Rose will ever be.

Tony Parker is considered possibly a top 30 European player of all time. MAYBE. Navarro is considered probably in top 3 all time shooting guards in European basketball history.

Dimitris Diamantidis: "I should not be expected to play for the national team after the age of 30. I am disappointed that they even asked me again, after I announced my retirement. Tony Parker at 19 got more burn than Navarro, a proven European Superstar at the time.... The NBA, where the best basketball players in the world play(btw, at least Gasol and his brother had the cojones to stay in America, bwahahahah) is where its at... Navarro would be rendered Mike Conley's sidekick trying to make a comeback....:oldlol:

Spanoulis isn't half the player Navarro is, and he never was...
He never was close to being the best greek player either...
